PCT BLUES

ad

Well, incase some of you have been wondering where I have been, aside from shit getting busy around here and Modern Warfare 3, I've been in pct for the last week. Wow, this shit fucking sucks lol. I know I have read online how much pct sucks but you dont truly know till you actually go thru it. I'm starting to see all the pct symptoms people talk about. not wanting to be in the gym all the time, seeing and feeling your reps and sets go down and weights coming off of the bar is one of the worst feelings ever.for those who dont know or have yet to go thru pct, imagine being superman one week and the next it feels like you swallowed a block of kryptonite. so my question is for some of you vets out there, how do you deal with pct and coming off in general? how does training change for you in terms of reps and sets? How do you get over the feeling of being in pct in general?!

I know the way I cycle shit is pretty far out there but I do 2 weeks on 2 weeks off with about 4-6 weeks off after a few cycles, but I never have a bad experience with PCT doing things this way. I run Nolva during the off weeks along with Creatine and Beta Alanine and lots of BCAA and I really only eat at maintenance level, and I still make some minimal gains in the first few days off gear. The on and off periods are so brief that I don't see any DRAMATIC positive or negative effects. However, my progression is slow but very steady. Really most of my gains come during the 2nd ON week and the 1st OFF week. In my mind I seem to take 2 steps forward, and stand still for two steps. Psychologically this is much easier for me mentally then doing a 12-14 week cycle, making HUGE gains, then being off for a few months and watch my gains slowly and steadily drop to about half of what I had worked so hard to achieve. It would suck to know that I would be going into the gym today and my lifts are going to be sucking for a while. Not to mention, being on for only two weeks, I experience no NOTICEABLE side effects whatsoever, no acne, no water, no sexual issues, no testicular atrophy (I don't even use HCG). My cycle ends and I mentally I am fine, because gains keep coming during PCT, then my 2nd week of PCT hits and my gains taper off but I know I only have a week until I am back on. I generally only do 6-12 days of injections (depending on dose and half life) so that by day 14 my blood levels are at a level to allow my body to begin recovery. I do run an oral all 14 days (sometimes I increase the oral on the days I drop the injections). I like to use test (always Prop), a 19 nor (always NPP never Tren), and a DHT oral (winny or Var). I use them all in moderate doses. This is a pretty unusual approach to gear. But from what I have gathered, it allows for MUCH less negative side effects, and MUCH faster recovery but at the expense of huge gains (which helps to mitigate injury) for slow and steady, solid, easily maintainable gains. And I have no issue when I go off cycle.

Nice Im glad to here someone does this. I was in a small debate on here about these.. I like the idea be hind them. Take it you really like them. How long have you been doin these? Have you done the regular 10 12 weekers? I only ask as im very interested in these.

This isn't unusual or new. It's called shic (sp?) cycling. Actually thinking of doing it that way instead of this 12 or 14 week cycle this next go around

Never said it was new, but unusual to this site...yeah, on the grounds that not very many people do these short cycles on this board (at least from what I have gathered). Yeah I have heard it called SHIC (Short High Intensity Cycle). A lot of people recommend 4 week cycles, but that kinda defeats the reasoning behind the short duration of the cycle. Cycles less than 2 weeks allow for very rapid recovery and minimal to no side effects however with minimal gains, cycles in the 3-7 week range cause much greater shut down/side effects/longer recovery time with moderate gains (the consensus with cycles of this length is that the sides/gains ratio is not worth it), cycles in the 8-12+ week range provide about the same amount of shutdown/recovery time as the 3-7 week cycles but obviously allow for MUCH greater gains. It is also recommended to use fairly high doses of oils (ex: 1 gram of test a week) when doing these 2 week cycles, with a frontload on day 1. Oral doses are usually the same as if used in a longer cycle. You can compare the amount of gear used in a 2 on, 2off, 2 on, 2 off cycle at a gram a week to an 8 week cycle of 500 mg a week. Total usage is the same. That is kind of how people decide on an amount to use. Just divide up what they would consider doing on a longer cycle into the 2 weeks on periods that equal about the same amount of weeks on. Personally I do moderate doses. I am not a BB though, and rely on good diet and training for gains over gear. Bill Roberts and T-Nation both have a lot of good info on this stuff if you want to learn more about it. You won't find very much good info if you Google for "SHIC", just letting you know. A search for "2 on 2-4 off" usually yields good search results.

Brother, it's the price we pay to walk, live, breath, lift and fuck on a higher plain than the mere mortals... Yes, post cycle depression is a motherfucker (always) but I've grown to accept it as part of the deal. On a good year i get 6-7 months ON and those 6+months make every moment of the OFF 6 worth it. And now I'm contemplating blast n cruise (thank you tread) which (in my mind) will only reduce me to Demi-God on my off months. Not everyone has the will, desire, fortitude and discipline to "live" as we do and thank God... how much would it suck if everyone walked with the immortals (LOL)

tread is the resident expert and much more qualified than i... but in essence its about staying ON

Like bodybuilder said I go out to gnc(rather not, fucking thieves), and get a weight gainer, preworkout, and maybe some nitric oxide or creatine. Just to experience somewhat of placebo affect for a week or 2. Usually tides me over for a little bit.

By the way welcome back bro

Thanks Amp. Appreciate it.

I know the feeling bro just finished my pct last week. What I do to try and get motivated to workout is load up on some pre workout supps. Belive it or not some of those actually work. Well at least for a couple of weeks.
