test e 300 inject pain

ad

I'm new to cycling, not to lifting, about 10 years natty. I just started my second cycle, im running test e 300 @ 600mg/wk. when injecting into my quad i get a sharp pain (the best way i can describe it is a sharp stinging feeling) but after injection i barely feel a thing. i did a lil research on google to try and figure out what was going on, but i couldn't find a thread with a case similar to mine. mosly what i found was people dealing with crippling pain in the hours/days after injecting, where as mine is only during the injection. what i found is it could be from a high BA content, crystals falling out of suspension, or even the oil being real thick. what im not sure about is whether any of the reasons i stated are causing my pain, being the circumstances are a lil different. I can def deal with the pain its not a big deal, i just don't wanna be sticking myself with something thats gonna cause harm down the road. My first cycle i ran test e @ 500mg/wk from a different source, and it went in perfectly smooth, i didn't feel any pain/discomfort at all which is why im tryna figure out why its happening this time around. my bad if this may be a dumb rookie question, but thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this!
* I didn't mention the labs I used, didn't kno if it was allowed.

I was going to make a couple points that were already made (alcohol not evaporated, not switching needles).. Just want to add to the switching of needles;

That's an insulin syringe, but you get the point

Yea if you are gonna invest your time and money into the gear, why wouldn't you invest the same into the cheapest part of the process.

Changing needles between drawing and injection is an extra step in handling that is more likely to INCREASE infection. When you swab the vial top and yourself with different wipes, that is as clean as you're going to get. And LOL to saying it hurts after pinning with a drawing needle because it is dull after poking through one rubber stopper. The only reason to change a needle is you are inpatient or at the bottom of the vial and want to draw faster with a larger bore needle.

WOW! very nice illustration, thank you for that. +1

Seeing this picture is what got me convinced to use draw needles. I was surprised how much easier the fresh needle went through the skin.

No doubt, when I first started I pinned with the same needle I drew with, but have since stop doing that. I've never reused needles and can't imagine what that would look/or feel like.

I see a lot of talk about "scar tissue" down this thread!............ you have NO scar tissue yet so dont be thinking down that road....... scar tissue comes after years of ED pinning.

Hi bro,

Always good to check the pinning guide to make sure you are in the right area:

http://www.spotinjections.com/index3.htm

Also, check that website also for guidelines on pin gauges and lengths for different muscle groups.

As Gymjunkie1978 says below, use the glutes - use a mirror so you can see what u are doing - the website above will show u the location.

Too high BA or BB would cause swelling and pain post injection and the chemical falling out of solution (the test you are using is a solution not a suspension - big difference) only occurs post injection as the BA evaporates.

U know, come to think of it what length pin and pin gauge are u using anyways - that could be the problem.

Are you pinning with same needle you are drawing with?

If so your gonna have a bad time

That dulls needle and makes for more pain

Dickkhead's picture

Excellent point. I always switch needles, never even though to ask him that.

I get that same sensation in my left quad only. Doesn't matter what I pin. I don't get pip or anything. I think it is scar tissue in my case. I stopped pinning in my left quad, problem solved!

I have ran Test Blend 400 in the past and this current cycle of Test-E 275. All I used was Quads and never had any actual pain during my 2ml shot. Having said that the 400 caused real bad PIP for about 7 days and the 275 for around 5 days. This occurred the following day.

The only pain that I got from Quads during my shot was if I glanced against a Nerve going in or during the shot my leg twitched a couple of times. Apart from that the process was totally painless.

Recently I have been Grazing Nerves in my quads quite frequently so decided to switch to Glute shots. I was shitting myself the first couple of times for reasons unknown !! (Possibly horror stories about the Sciatic Nerve).

Just stick to slowly pushing in 1ml every 30 secs and you shouldn't go far wrong.

As a side note I prick the surface and push the rest of the needle in very slowly. Not sure if this is the most effective way but I think if I can feel a Nerve start to twitch it can be removed and re-pinned in another location.

i'm always a bit concerned when people say to just poke it straight in all the way to the base !!

Different gear= different pip

Have you pinned quads before? If the pain doesn't last or there is no redness or swelling you're fine, all gear is different.

Do u use alcohol swabs cause if u do and don't let it dry completely it can burn and sting when u inject could be something as easy as that

good point

What IT sounds like to me

Gymjunkie01's picture

if your only pinning Test you should be pinning that into your glutes.. its a larger muscle and you will feel less pip. make sure you asperate to make sure you did not hit a vein. you should have better results there. also make sure you are using alcohol pad to sterilize the area and the top of the vial before injecting to reduce the chances of an infection.

Try pinning somewhere else see if you still get the same pain.
