Iam aa 44 year old runner , suffering from over training, will HGH help me get back to running quicker?

ad

Hi there I'm a 44 year old runner. I have all the symptoms of over training, and have been out of running for 12 weeks.
Will taking HGH help my body recover faster? Are there any other things that I could take to help my body recover from over training faster.
I'm no a professional runner so I'm not worried about any substance showing up in my system.
Thanks in advance for your help

I'm also curious as to what substances would help me with running, as I don't want to gain too much muscle mass but rather endurance.
Thanks

I doubt it will help you get back to running quicker. HGH is a long term investment and not a quick fix. May help in the future to extend your training time before over training but isn't going to help you get back on track now. Rest and food are your best options now.

I would do my best to recover without drugs first. Take the guys' advice below and simply start with training less and getting more rest as well as a medical checkup. Make sure your diet is up to par. That part is also super crucial, especially as we age.

Here is one noone seems to say to you, stop over training. The definition of Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The older we get the more need for us to slow down a little. I am the same age as you and I have come to terms with my age over the past 2 years. Slow down and stop over training; take more time off because resting is the time you build your strength and speed not during the exercises themselves. You might even come out of it better and faster.

HI there IrishMack, yes for sure. I have not done any running or exercise in 12 weeks. And it was recommendwd to me by a running coach that I should not do any kind of exercise until my resting heart rate returns to what it was prior to the over training . When I return to running I plan on taking it very slow and easy, I never want to go through this again. While the physical effects of over training sucks, the emotional and psychological effects are absolutely brutal. Hence I am just trying to find something that can help me heal up quicker and get me back out there.

I would highly recommend having blood work done and a full medical check up before really recommending anything. However GH is known to help with recovery/healing alongside with anti-aging and at your age you will see great benefits of that.

As a mountain biker I really enjoy the insurance benefits of equipoise. But if you were getting tested and that would not be an option.

Thanks for your feedback. What kind of blood work would they do ? I was under the impression that there was no specific test they could do to detect over training/reaching or ups(under performance syndrome ). But I have an appoinentment with a sports doctor in a few weeks , and i will ask him to check everything. I have heard people mentioning eq for endurance. Do you know if it stacks well with hgh? Thanks

If you're struggling with recovery I'd suggest a medical check up first

there is a lot of beneficial compounds out there for endurance athletes

just make sure there's no underlying cause for your recovery problems first

I have talked to several running coaches/trainers and they all seem to agree that I have simply over trained. While I don't have a specific injury, I get the impression that overtraining is not a specific injury rather a generalized term for what happens when you over Train. Do you know if there are any specific tests that they can do? Like measuring Testosterone or cortisol levels? I have booked an appointment with a sports doctor, since I have a feeling if if went to my doctor to ask, he would just say, what do you want me of do.

You've looked into the positives of GH I'd recommend that you look at the negatives also brother.

Thanks I appreciate the feedback. I have done a fair bit of reading and the impression I get is that at lower dosage the side effects should not be to bad. I was thinking 2-4 in/ day 5 days on 2 off. Do you think there are still substantial risks for negatives at a lower dose like this? Thanks

Hgh would aid in faster recovery. I've been to one marathon, but at the finish line where I waited for my wife to finish. While waiting, I saw one of the most ridiculous sights, all these runners practically dying, sprawled out on the ground each with 5 pounds of ice wrapped around their knees and legs. To each their own I guess. Haha anyway....check out GW50156 for endurance purposes
