Diet Question
ad
About to start training hard and smart again. Long time off good gear and even longer since good diet and training. At 40yr old-l, i have the motivation finally to put it all together. Problem is, metabolism is slow and mid section large.
Should I limit late day-evening eating or just eat and train and let the belly care for itself.?
I've always operated under the impression that you must eat- period!
Yet- that was when I was a 25 yr old little guy trying to get big and strong.
Now- I want to reduce fat as much as possible, bit don't want to be counterproductive and waist on the TRT
Bellys not huge- but definitely needs to go.
Thoughts from any 40+men ?
Those with learned metabolism secrets preferred-
Thx

tread-mIf you are trt and you blast and cruise and eat a proper 6 meal plan the belly handles itself. You can use some carb manipulation early on to help thatg goal but in proper you need your 6 meal roll. Now proper is obviously different for all so you have to play with carbs for example to see what it is you will tolerate and continue to maintain goals. Carbs out of meal 5 and 6 work pretty well for me and keep my body fat low but I play hard so thats a factor as well. I would say lay your proposed diet down and let us do what us nooka's do . I would get some current blood work whether trt now or not so you can begin to roadmap your progress and issues and work over time to fix those.
Thx- do you recommend standard blood work that shows test and free test levels?
I had that with physical 6mo ago when I realized I was severely test deficient.
The HRT clinics recommend some serious blood work- I don't mind spending the money-
Like I said, I wanna do it right.
I don't plan on getting HRT from clinic , but may do the testing at one-
Seems like the completeness of their health and blood testing maybe worth the $450
Thoughts?
tread-mWell, 450 is pretty steep given you need to do fairly frequent bloods in your first yr in order to roadmap all your uses with the AI and your gear as it pertains to test and the "all important estrogen/shbg. Having said so I might get cheaper bloods. There are online sources with labs the contract to all over the country so I would check into those. I would suggest you go over to the general section and look to the top in the stickies/pinned topics. I have one there titled "test and estrogen" so please read that. Estrogen is sooooo important to what you are embarking on and can make you or break you. I would also say pull up
2 more topics I've written lately and you can use the search bar up top right to pull thise up. One is "hgh born again" and the other more recent still on the main page I think which I think was "not ready for cruise or trt?". I would like for you to have a better grasp of what it is you are doing and I think those along with many others here will give you some good info. You'll find info is so vital to how successful you are in identifying your rights and wrongs etc. Hrt clinics btw are fine but they make mega profits on things you can do yourself with proper knowledge and that begins with bloods.
Will do and thanks-
I was not planning on using clinics for therapies.
I was interested in their total fitness-stress-blood testing that takes severl hrs-
Is all that not necesary-
Will chk ur other threads now.
Burning midnight oil-
Cheers!
tread-mAs a one time thing I don't hate the idea but from there maybe "privatemedlabs". You can request a "female panel" which is cheaper given it already tests estro as opposed to adding it to the male panel.
Ok- does someone have a chart of blood work- with an explanation of each line item?
My interest of course would be to know what the framework of 'balance'
May look like- what numbers to tweak to achieve balance.
I'd love to Ask for advice on next cycle, but will read rules to make sure I can without getting flagged.
I'm not a competitive BB.
Just a 40 yr old male with previous experience and joy with training under enhancement.
Now its no longer about size and strength (well...maybe a little)
It's more about health and well being-
So not into harder stuff-
