YouTube time...

Every so often someone throws up a link to a YouTube video on here, and I catch a blast from the past of some kick ass music....just came across a bunch of Pantera links and it made me want to make a forum for all of us to throw down some of our favs...any genre, any time frame just dump them in here and see what we come up with..
For me, a local station has been playing this song alot lately and it reminds me of a time when better music was common, not like today when good rock is hard to find, at least on a consistent basis...here you go:

Dance With The Devil - Immortal Technique: http://youtu.be/qggxTtnKTMo
If rap was only still Like this I'd still listen.
I've always like immortal technique. He actually tells a coherent story or makes points about different issues. I won't listen to the " rap" these days but there are some great independent hip hop artists that really poor their sole into the music like immortal technique does
I agree, "intellectual rappers" Still exist but they get lost in the shuffle thanks to the garbage of the Lil Wayne era....that guy is the worst thing that has ever happen to rap, just horrible. I'll take this:
Biz Markie - Just A Friend (Official Video): http://youtu.be/9aofoBrFNdg
Slick Rick - Children's Story: http://youtu.be/HjNTu8jdukA
Or
Warren G - Regulate ft. Nate Dogg: http://youtu.be/1plPyJdXKIY
Over that crap all day long
Just came across this, pretty bad ass if you ask me
Tech N9ne - Straight Out the Gate ft. Serj Tankian: http://youtu.be/-L4HVPZgtjI
I love Serj's voice, I hope the rumors are true and SOAD gets back together, but Serj has been pretty vocal about staying as a solo act....time shall show...
Whoa!! Pretty good stuff
Soad is great. I'd love to hear more from them.
Same here, Serj's solo work is just as good IMO, but true SOAD fans will always feel like time was stolen from us. Their 10 year "hiatus" was supposedly so they could find the time to write real Music. Clearly, Serj and SOAD have political nuances, and if you look at the state of our world in the last ten years, bands like SOAD and Rise Against could make albums on a weekly basis. I hope they hammer out their issues and hit us with more brilliant work.
Can't wait to see this one live

Lucky fucka. I may never see them.
That songs rips! especially good when lifting.
Im into melodies and think killpop is the best track. Easy to play on guitar too.

^plenty of good Rock^
To bad I just got fired. I was excited I'd be able to go.
That's a hell of a weekend. If I wasn't so damn far away I'd go for sure. Nonpoint is one of my favorite (underrated) bands, and I'd venture that if both Slash and Tremont are there, Myles Kennedy may just show up....seeing slipknot a couple days before that up by me, can't wait for that one
Edit:just saw under slash it said featuring Myles Kennedy and the conspirators....I may consider a 14 hour car ride after all....
Do it! Tickets are only gonna go up.
I've been a huge Nonpoint fan since Statement back in 2000. 15yrs ago. Wow. Just bought there newest one The Return.
I wanted to catch them and Slipknot and Of mice and men. Manson and Bush would be cool too.
I've seen a lot of the other bands. Korn x7.
Vital signs.

If you don't know Volbeat, they are a great band, and sound just as great live as they do in their videos and on the radio. Heres a couple of their songs, dig deeper and you may realize what I did they don't make bad music
Volbeat - Lonesome Rider ft. Sarah Blackwood: http://youtu.be/7WdO9KhcUKE
Volbeat - Cape Of Our Hero: http://youtu.be/vlF3OY-FenY
Volbeat - Sad Man's Tongue (Official Video): http://youtu.be/5mV_HHL-h6g
Volbeat - A Warrior's Call: http://youtu.be/rSmtHBMjXLU
Volbeat - Fallen: http://youtu.be/VBaVlDIMKCU
These are just a few I could easily add ten more awesome songs to this list
They're alright. You name a song, any song, and they can cover it no problem. That's what I liked about them most. As a rock musician myself, that shits impressive.
I seen them at Carolina Rebellion. And I think they will be returning to it again this May.
Just wanted to add guys, I'm sure most on here have either bought it or has heard it in its entirety. The new black sabbath album is on the money, so if you don't have it yet go get that shit!.....jus saying
In honor of my current Karma number.. If your 555 I'm 666!

Gonna be seeing them august 1st....that new song Custer man....gets me fuckin amped!!
Slipknot - Custer (Audio): http://youtu.be/FdBqOCS8LmM
I have seen them a few times now and they always go all in for their live shows. Well worth the admission.
Yea I can't wait man, I honestly don't even care what songs they play I love then all. We saw stone sour at a 3500 person venue by my house about 18 months ago, we're 5 feet from the stage and I gotta say corey taylor is one hell of a singELer. Myles Kennedy may be the only singer (besides Robert Plant who is a god) that could outsing taylor live, although taylor has the edge on performance by far
Digging the new handle bawse!....Darth pale, has a ring to it
I was not a fan of Audioslave, except for this one.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBFdX37Qpnk
I am a huge RAtM and Soundgarden fan so I naturally turned on to Audioslave. This song is a bit too pop-y for me. I prefer their crunchier stuff.
It isn't the style as much as the substance with that song.
Ugly Truth..

Chris Cornell is a great vocalist, good call sir
Cornell has one of the best rock and roll voices ever. Dude can scream on key. Oddly enough, I saw a poll recently that said Axl Rose had the best voice of all time.
Axl Rose was a great singer, but to be honest his arrogance and shit head demeanor ruined what could have went on to become one of the greatest rock bands of all time.. Number 1? Hell no, Myles Kennedy beats him on some of his own tracks if you dig around your can find him and Slash killing it on some of the older GnR tracks. I will put him top ten, possibly top 5 but I'd really have to think about it cuz he really was a wasted talent. Imagine if he never pissed off his band and ultimately the rock world as a whole with his blatant disrespect for the industry what they could have become. It's sad because they really have some of the best songs IMO and I could just picture them being like the Rolling Stones touring into their 60s and selling out arenas...
You should read Slash's autobiography. Quite alarming some of the disruptive behaviour Mr Rose was capable of. Undoubtedly had a huge ego.
You know what I would absolutely read that, I'm going to look into it. I read "the heroine diaries" by Nikki sixx (motley cru) and it was a wild view of what rock stardom is all about... definitely an interesting read
Appetite is the measuring stick for rock n roll decadence. Even Use Your Illusion was really good. November Rain is everything a power ballad should be. But, one of the hall marks of greatness has to be longevity, unless you die like Cobain or Buddy Holly or Hendrix.
As far as vocals go, Freddy Mercury, Robert Plant, Eric Burdon, but the all time best... Don't laugh... Steve Perry (Journey)
Freddy Mercury, what a loss to music.
Queen were the best live band I've ever seen.
Wish I could seen them I hear they put on a hell of a show
I saw them at Wembley when I was a teenager. I lack the vocabulary to describe just how good they were.
That's because Axl rose had more of the "rockstar" persona about him, lots of them polls are bogus I saw one before top 100 guitarist of all time. Kurt Cobain was #3! NUMBER EFFIN 3! Eddie van Halen was #18 and Dave Mustain was in the 60's I believe. Now how in dafuq does that happen?
That's just plain wrong man. Cobain was a good musician, but I feel like he is over rated honestly. Don't get me wrong, Nevermind is one of the better albums of the last 25 years, and his MTV unplugged session was phenominal, but there wasn't enough tenure to call him a legend per say. Definitely not the 3rd best guitarist ever not by a long shot. These polls are usually put together by people who let their own ears, not their brains determine the best. Do you know where this list can be found? Curious to see it
I wanna say it was a USA today poll (go figure ) but I'm not 100 on it. It was about 2-3 years ago.
You got my gears turning I'm going to dig that up if I can find it...I love when some media outlet nOT related to a certain industry (like this) has a beat writer put out an opinion list and act like it's something of substance....Yahoo is the worst offender in this regard, their bloggers are narrow minded tools who turn out some real trash...
Here's the kicker, in the same article it was said that sly and the family stone was "possibly" the greatest rock band ever. Ha ha ha.....I'm gonna dig around and see if I can find it again
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVCVGQhvN9g
Now you know the Family Stone would have been a fun band to be in!
Eehh....might just have to pass on that fantasy pale. Now if it were someone like deep purple then yes!
I just saw one from Rolling Stone, they had hendrix, Clapton and page...ok I can get with that, but they also have Slash at 65...I may be impartial but I really think he is much higher then that possibly top 20... again I am a fan so I may be seeing with blinders on
I agree slash should always be at least top 25 on every list. Just like Adam Jones he is always ranked kinda low and not just saying this cuz I like tool but the man is a true musician and not to mention he plays a very rare Gibson silver burst
Also responsible for most of the album art. Dude is super talented. And I agree about Slash. Not top tier, but defo in that second tier.
