You guys were right

ad

So those of you that may have talked with me on my introduction 4 or so weeks ago knew that I was on a TRT dose of 200mg per week as recommended by my doctor. Many of you claimed this was too high and I wasn't surprised to find out today you all were exactly right. The doc called this morning with my blood results and total test was at 1200 72 hours after my last injection. I split my dose previously at 100mg every 3-4 days. Needless to say we cut that dose in half so I am now at 100mg weekly. Also, apparently I have a bad hypothyroid issue so she put me on 50mg synthroid. I didn't take it the first time after blood work because I wanted to do some more research on the matter and be absolutely positive that mine was shit first before going on a lifetime of thyroid medication. I believe the cut off for normal thyroid function is around 4.6 or something, mine was originally 12.4 the first time and 8.5 this past blood work result. With that said, is there anything I should be aware of taking synthroid with my 100mg TRT dose? Any benefits or possible side effects?

so she put me on 50mg synthroid

50mcg ............ not 50mg.

mcg = micrograms,........ 1/1,000,000 of a gram
mg = milligrams,.......... 1/1,000 of a gram

She would have put you on 50 micrograms, yes micrograms, thyroid hormones are extremely powerful, not something to fuck around with without a doctor's care.

Desiccated pork thyroid (also called Armour) is measured in mgs (milligrams) , it is made of desiccated (dried and shreaded) pig thyroid and was the common medical treatment before synthroid. It contains T4, T3 and a host of other thyroid hormones. All other thyroid treatments/medications are in micrograms.

Yes sorry, I meant mcg. I haven’t taken it yet. I wanted to be sure it was necessary first.

Wait, what? No, I was previously on 200mg per week which I split into two injections of 100mg per week. As of today my doctor brought my dose down to 100 mg per week. As for the other comments we've been through all of this weeks ago. I mentioned blast and cruise on my intro many weeks ago and decided not to do it as you and others suggested. On the proviron subject I was only asking for educational purposes, not saying I was going to do it. Did you forget all of these conversations? I know you reply to most every post so I'm assuming that's the case. I respect your advice, that's why I never did any of those things.

I have hypothyroidism and have been on levothyroxin (generic synthroid) for many years. I take 300mcg daily right now. The best advice I can give you is to take your dose 1st thing in the morning on an empty stomach with a tall glass of water. Wait maybe 10 min or so before eating or having your coffee. Shoot me a freind request if you want. Ive been on yhis stuff awhile so I know a bit. Just make surr to get tested regularly and take your meds proper. If your off the symptoms suck. Fatigued, weight gain, depressed etc...all sorts of cool shit.

Ok thanks I’ll try that. She started me at 50mcg per day and said that was a low dose but to try it and we will decide whether we need to up it in a couple of months.

I understand about those meds. I always start slowly and google everytime they change my meds. I trust my Dr about as much as some of the members on this site. About 90 %. The Dr has the education but the trusted members have experience. Always start slow not just with steroids but all meds. That’s my experience.

Exactly. I like to make sure first. No one is going to do the work for me so I try to do a LOT of research first as i do with most things. I have found that this site has a lot to offer from the many people like you with years of experience in these things. In the end, I trust the blood work. If it says I need to take it, I guess that's just what I need to do then. Any benefits or side effects with synthroid that you know of?

I’ve never used it bro. Trust me I’m the last guy you want to listen to. I just beleive in being cautious and slow with drugs and life. If people would just take 5 and think things through life would be easier. We live in an instant society and we all know things don’t work that way. Good luck.

I agree, better to be smart and introduce one thing at a time. Thanks anyway.
