Work partner is an idiot !!

Guys I work as a tech in a union shop where I have a partner , he is an idiot , my boss directs
Me to do 99.9 of the work cause he knows my partner is challenged !!
I've discussed this with him yet it still goes on daily !

What does that mean "Tech in a union shop"? I was a shop Stewart in my local where I was responsible for a hand full of guys in different companies as their union rep. But I didn't work in a union shop. I dono what that means or what you are trying to say. DO you just mean its a union job? I worked for a company that has a crew of 20+ mechanics that I worked closely with. Everything from issues with bosses to union brothers snitching on each other. Negotiated contracts etc. I spent 5 years in that position. I know a lil bit. If so, go see your stewart and file a grievance against the boss. Make sure he gets a copy from you. If you are afraid of retribution then go tell him you plan on filing a grievance about the issue you discussed. You should get it squared away at the hearing.
hunteron20sIf your in a union like i am ..i do only what i can do if the rest dont get done not my problem. .
I will try and take a seat on the back burner. But I take pride in my work and if I do not do it, it just won't get done. And then I have to deal with the reprimands. But I will try and take this route suggested. Thank you.
hunteron20sIm a local chairman of my local .. i stress that you wont get fired if you dont break the rules. .not doing work faster doesnt count as a rule ,so follow the rules and take pride in the work you do and you will be fine ..put the stress on the boss where it needs to be .
