+ 3 What's Your Favourite Hobby after weightlifting?
ad
I'm sure for most of us using gear that training/lifting is our favourite hobby and thing to be doing in life, but what is next on your list after that if you can't be in the gym slugging the Iron?

My female has more of the huntress. She unfortunately to me has caught and killed 2 wild rabbits. But i smartend up and cleared out the side of my property where they would hide. So now the rabbits i see in the front yard only
That would def suck if it was unwanted. I have a female mutt who, unfortunately, loves hunting for shit piles.
Lmao my punk ass little cocker spaniel swears he’s a cold blooded killer. I let him out back at night, because we have rabbits who like to hang out in our backyard. I’ll shine a flashlight following the rabbits, so he can chase them, because I know it’s giving his little peanut brain an endorphin dump. One time the rabbit had its back turned and he came up super fast and quiet so it didn’t run off. He stopped dead in his tracks and just barked at the damn thing one time so it’d run then he chased it. Little punk ass I knew he wasn’t the killer he pretends to be.
Ha thats awesome. Mine is a German shepard... And he will murder everything. Animal that is. Loves kids, especially girls, cool around other adults. But if your anything else, holy shit.
German Shepards have always been one of my favourite dogs since a child, fiercely loyal and protective and would never turn on any of the family its protecting. They were the main dogs everyone got for protection along with Dobermans back in the day here, nowadays things seem to have got crazy and you have all these temperamental savage breeds that literally maul their owners throats in the lounge sat watching TV with no apparent warning.
Same. My grandma had one that I absolutely adored when I was growing up. Ill never not own one.
Yes this is true. We as humans don't have a right to say this is right or wrong of animals. Animals are animals.
Bollocks there being trained to do that and used by man for blood sport it’s none comparable to animals acting in there own environment.
Yea what Stokes is getting at here, and I gotta say I agree, is there’s a difference between being barbaric out of necessity vs being barbaric simply because you want to be.
My pet peeve is folks snapping photos with an animal they just shot holding it up smiling. I’ve never been a fan of that. Kill it and eat it. Don’t show boat the body. I’ve never taken a single photo with an animal I’ve killed and I’ve been doing it for 20 years
I guess it all depends on the nature of the picture and if it's thrown all over social media for likes. I see nothing wrong with grip and grins. It captures a moment and can always have that to look back on. Like someone with their grandpa and their trips to hunting camp every year. Or your kids first deer. I can think of many examples to where a picture to capture the memory would be more than justified. But I see your point, if hunting is souly for the purpose of harvesting meat then you're right, not much point in taking pictures
Yea I shoulda added I never kept any of the racks from bucks I shot. And honestly I don’t care too much over the pictures with deer. I still don’t like it, but it doesn’t make me think any different about that person. But a person who goes on say a safari and shoots a lion or other animal in that category and is grinning ear to ear holding its head up. Yea that’s the shit I really dislike. Those aren’t even true hunts where you stalked the animal with your own skills.
I’ll shoot a coyote any day of the week too. Not a wolf though.
To each their own, ya know. I live my life the way I want, and won't impose my lifestyle on anyone or say my way of living is best. The world is full of a lot of gray, and is sometimes best to look at the world through your neighbors eye. I disagree with Stokes on this one, but I understand and respect where he is coming from.
Amen to that
I get where you're coming from stokes. But it's a big thing here in the states buddy.
I don’t think the dogs are supposed to maul the hogs to death. They’re supposed to flush and then you shoot them. Would be very dangerous for the dogs to maul a hog to death. Dogs could easily get hurt doing that. They nip and bite at the hog to herd it to you to kill it.
From my very limited understanding of the practice. I’ve only ever used dogs to Quail hunt. And all they did was flush then run back to you waiting to do it again.
The dogs don't don't kill the hogs I catch the hogs and remove them from properties all the hogs I catch are still alive
This is a from of pest control. I know it's far from glamorous and can understand how it can come off as cruelty. But using dogs in the nature he depicted is an efficient way of eradicating/reducing population of an invasive and problematic species.
Exactly.. this is the food chain. The way of life. 500 years ago I'd have been running around with a stick spear and a loin cloth sticking a mammoth 500 times to feed the fam.
Ever see 10,000B.C.? That movie is crazy
And that would be fine because you would be doing it for food and not blood lust or enjoyment but necessity
I'll do it for a living the hogs are not dead I catch them tie them up and relocate them
Well said.
Mines is evolves peanut butter, hamsters, and blind folds
Do you name the hamsters Lemiwinks by chace?
anvilMine is, well was named Lemiwinks but we both know what happens on south park.
Lemiwinks made it out of Mr slaves in the end though! Didn't he go on to be a king or something?
KuttingweightLove going hiking and sweating it out on trails in the woods. Great way to get your're cardio in while enjoying a beautiful sunny day and nature. Trying new restaurants and cooking. Being a chef, sometimes i would rather someone else makes the meal. But enjoy making dishes myself. Have a nice collection of Marvel Comics. Mostly X-men, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Incredible Hulk, etc. Playing Madden on Playstation 5. Shopping for new outfits or shoes. Spending time with my girlfriend, hiking, movues, restaurants, shopping, etc.
I like going on hikes with my dog. Chopping wood is also extremely satisfying but I wouldn’t call it a hobby.
Grilling up some meats in good weather is fun as well. I mostly just lift and live my life tbh.
You guys have hobbies?

This is a great post, it’s cool to see what others do in their relaxation time. I’m curious for @87 and @UncleYoked to chime in…
Who's @87?
Yeah, I fucked that up didn’t I? Maybe a gypsy version of the real eighty7?
anvilReading your posts press...and intelligently replying.
I eat , sleep and train. Next best thing is IDK, I will think on it.
HAHAHA LMAO!!! In your case its actually: Sleep, Train, Eat Lol
anvilYou called it buddy
My wifes ass.
Finally some chasing it as much as me
She outs those yoga pants on and i will follow that ass till it gets tired the bump & rub it
I know it sounds strange, but rockhounding in the Rocky mountains. It's so peaceful, the fresh mountain air. Plus finding some agates or a geode here and there is pretty fucking cool! I don't live out there, but visit often. Just about every month
I imagine its quite like the feeling of going skiing up in the mountains, nothing quite like the feeling of that air and the sun. All the restaurants up there etc
Kind of except where I go there are no restaurants. Only fresh air, mountain streams, and a ton of wildlife. It's very much in the middle of nowhere. It's up on a mountain pass, very high in elevation, and very remote. Away from the world. Ya know?
Target shooting, there’s no question about it.
Drexy picture this some years back
I have 3 sons. One day his friend want to sleep over and the kids mother call my wife and says her son wants to have a sleep over do we have any guns in the house. My wife says yes in the gun cabinet locked up. The lady says ohh no my son CANNOT sleep over your house. So the lady says your son can sleep over our house instead. I was on the speaker phone i SAID do you have guns!!!! She says absolutely NOT. THEN I said my son CANNOT SLEEP over your house since you have noway of protecting my son from an intruder and i will pick his ass up at 10 pm My ex wife was pissed at me for days
@Drexyl
That was 100% the correct answer. I leave one accessible as my 15yo stepdaughter knows how to use it if something happens to me first. Many people don’t realize that the Supreme Court has ruled, on multiple occasions, there is not a single police officer in this country that has a constitutional duty to protect you. Your personal safety is 100% up to you. You’re better off with a gun in your hand than a cop on the phone.
Especially when you only have to go over the road to the local park to do it LOL
lol, if shit gets any spicier, before too long I’ll be opening a window and putting a lot of lead in the air.
What range do those laser sights work up to?
If you’re talking actual lasers I’d say pretty far, I don’t have any. My pistols are all iron sights except one with a dot. My rifles one has a dot, the other a 1-8 LPVO scope, and the third has a digital scope that’s infrared capable. Great times lol.
I mean the Red dot ones lol I just call them laser sights as that's what Arnie said in Terminator LOL
Really not much past 100 yards with the dot. The scopes are a different story, I’ll tag ya at 300y. I’m much better with my handguns than I am my rifles. I have a pretty decent Mozambique drill. Every range trip I’ll shoot a couple hundred rounds on that drill alone.
Ranger3252Coaching my son’s sports teams, nothing like it. Second would be finding a ho on Tinder, taking a Superman, fuck her until she can’t walk then tell her she needs to leave.
