Selective racism in America
Ok so this is for all of you out there shouting racism over the case of Zimmerman/Martin. The link below is a perfect example of "selective racism" I call this selective because it seems that when an African American is the victim everyone is quick to say how unequal and racist America still is, however when it is someone of a different race than your own you heads are turned the other way. If we are ever going to be a truly equal nation there are a multitude of things that need to be changed. One has to think what if white people had a television channel called, WET "White Entertainment Television" just as African Americans have BET... Does this make any sense? This is just a small example of the inequality we face here in America. Back tothe Zimmerman/Trayvon case... I'm sick of people saying that justice was not served, saying that, "oh a black teen was murdered by a man of a different race, so that's racism"? Fucking please... What do all of you have to say about this when a "white" kid is being brutally beaten by three African Americans? What do you think would have happened if this had been an African American teen being beaten by three white kids? Sharpton where you at bro? You know you would have been infuriated by this. What about you Obama, "this could have been you" referring to the statement that he could have been Trayvon Martin. However, since this is involving a white child they are not calling this a racial dispute. This kid got beat nearly to death because he spoke up about them trying to sell weed, but a mixed-race Hispanic man can't defend himself from a clearly out of control teen and all of you yell RACISM. He was given a fair trial from a jury of our peers, fucking deal with it.

I love you to bro. I'm actually for all the "poor me" shit everywhere to be gone. It only divides. I lived in a black neighborhood for three years. My white race was mentioned every single day. Do I focus on that? Hell no, I actually like to focus on how people became my friends. The hospitality, that shit was un-matched bro. I could walk through the neighborhood any given Saturday and random people would invite me to eat chicken cooked off of their 55 gallon barrel homemade grills. That shit is what I like to focus on. Does racism exist? Yes and it sucks I just would rather focus on what brings us together not what divides us.

Bro, there are so many really good and awesome people in all races. Why not focus on the kindness and hospitality. I worked with a Mexican crew on a project once and I will tell you that was the most enjoyable job I've ever worked on. We were kind of in the back woods so we had a fire pit by the tool trailer and we ate and ate and ate. I would bring the venado (don't know if that's spelled right) and they would bring tortillas peppers and everything else. We would luchous (I think that's the word for wrestle) in the dirt we would laugh, joke, they became my brothers. That's the shit I'd rather focus on. Not the division shit.
I could not agree more! For over 20 years now I have worked side by side with men of every race I believe. We all joke and laugh as well as make fun of each other in a respectful way. I tell you on the battlefield I only see brothers and men of honor and bravery. So I don't even get into all the bullshit about racism and neither am I naive to it. I do believe I have a cure though. I would take what ever race colored racist and put him in a forward combat area all by himself. With men of all other races far behind him, when he comes under heavy fire, I betcha he would get over that bullshit real quick when calling for help!

You are probably right. However, I'm for the thinking that we take cases like the one that I referenced and instead of saying five black guys did this to white people, we say five pieces of shot did this to a couple of victims and vice versa.
The fact of the matter is that 80 of all crime is within our own races.

You see two wrongs do not cancell each other out , so the fact that reverse racism exists, does not do a damn thing to negate conventional racism.
Because I see someone throw garbage out the window of their car does that mean I should too ? No it means that person is a scumbag and Id be lowering my self to their level if I repeated the behavior . So when you whine about how "those blacks" call us cracker, or how "those blacks" make a big fuss when a black kid gets killed by a white then you are just lowering your self there too.
There will always be assholes, and most likely there will always be racism, and the more one race gains power the more you may see it. So the choice is yours, do you do something about it by whining that its "unfair" and the "pot is calling the kettle black" or do you try to better your self by stepping above all that ugly noise ?
I can't find any holes in this logic at all. It is so true that many of us do lump one into all once we see an injustice committed on either side of the color scheme. I think it takes one hell of a person with strong character not to let personal rage and bias make it all one or nothing. Perfectly put in my opinion.

Sharpton doesn't support or help black people. what has he REALLY done? He is used pretty much as a riot control. For example instead of everybody rioting all weekend tearing neighborhoods up when zimmerman was let off, Sharpton said, lets all rally in symmetry and do it on Saturday from 11-1 (for example) instead of it getting news publicity for a whole week n people tear up cars n businesses they.

I think whatever race you are you should be proud. We all have positive attributes to go along with our negatives. But in this country in this culture it has been frowned on to be proud to be white. At least that is the way I feel. I grew up in a very racially diverse city and had/have friends of all races, but the more time goes on the more "separate" I feel..
