I agree with you to a certain extent, as average =/= median as you cited. It also comes down to skills, and if you want to compare apples to apples you'd have to look at a per field basis. For example, in my industry I can guarantee you whites earn more than Asians, or any other ethnicity for that matter. But, do Asians earn more than whites in their respective fields?

Strawman. Household income means they are acquiring skills that others lack and have higher reltive incomes as a household. Does not indicate whatsoever they don't experience institutionalized privilege or that they are no longer grouped in with minorities.

How is it out of hand? I will agree with discrimination being a human characteristic regardless of any personal values, but that's not we are discussing. We are referencing institutionalized privilege. It's not a "I don't like (insert here) people" it's an actual phenomenon where someone who by accidental birth happens to have certain characteristics isn't given the same opportunity as someone who happens to fall into Being born differently.

White privilege is real, there are countless of studies done in sociology studying this, the most basic ones are the "resume trials" where callbacks for people with black sounding names are significantly lower than those for white sounding names. And, before you spin this into something crazy, all resumes were fake, and all variables but the name were held constant.
But please, back up your claim with factual evidence of this "myth"... And that doesn't mean spew out random links to articles, it means analyse the actual studies done and explain how they back up your claim.

Black college fund - what about the Pulaski scholarship, or any number of scholarships /funds that are only available to certain people? It's not privilege, it's a half measure to combat institutionalized privilege and attempt to level a playing field.
Neither is alright, and maybe it's because I'm from the NE but nobody runs around chanting this shit. It grew out of an attempt to gain equality and served it's purpose at the time.
This is no longer an issue. It's evolved to minorities still not being on equal footing with whites, which they aren't in any economic or social sense.
