Need extra aggression for the gym? Try DIY...

...or more specifically, home plumbing. When you eat as much as I am currently, a fully functional toilet is pretty much essential. Mine's been a bit dodgy lately, not flushing on demand, so after my workout today I decide I'll fix it myself. Got a new part from the DIY store, all the right tools to do the job etc. It should be noted here that I am without doubt the least "handy" person in the world. So, I successfully dismantle my toilet and install the new part. It's all going unusually well. After a bit of trial and error I even manage to reassemble it. Then one pipe, ONE FUCKING PIPE, refuses to screw back into it's proper home. I think I've got it several times, turn the water back on, and suddenly there's water all over the fucking floor. Just to prove that I'm supremely useless, I repeat this exercise numerous more times with the same result. I'm off-cycle right now, and I think it's lucky that I am otherwise I would have tried to put my fist through the cistern. Instead, I just shouted a lot and banged my head against the wall. So it's New Years Eve and should be at the pub. But I'm at home waiting for a plumber, with another tasty meal of chicken breast to look forward to. HAPPY BASTARD NEW YEAR!

Ok, I feel better now Smile

U probly stripped the threads if they were plastic? what ya want to do is get yourself plenty of lube, cause a plumber on sat.. and new years, when you get the bill, you're gonna get f*cked Smile But, you'll have a sweet working stool to ring in the New Year?

Damn. That sounds like me. I went through the same thing. I can relate. If I can give you any advice check out you tube videos on how to do that sort of stuff. Or pay for a plumber.

little late but that DIY store should of had the knowledge given what you were buying to ask you if you need some teflon tape as its a common knowledge thing for someone in the store i would think

Thanks!
Yeah, I imagine Blair and Bush are out bar-hopping right now, catching up on old times.

LOL....It's my number one place to visit one day..but not a big town like London...I want to go to a small town with great pubs and get drunk with the sheep-hearders...talk politics and hopefully not get my ass kicked for being American. We seem to be rather hated these days for sticking our nose in everyone else's business.

Check the threads and make sure they aren't damaged.... Make sure you're using plenty on sealant tape.
