Anyone know if ketone sticks are a good indication of being in a positive nitrogen state? If not, what is a good over the counter product to measure nitrogen balance? Besides going to the doctors office.

You can use a blood glucose kit (Precision Xtra is an example) and use Ketone test strips... google & you'll find something...
These kits are what a diabetic would use to test glucose levels -- you just want to make sure the kit can also test for ketones.

Just eat every few hours and sip on BCAA's in between.
Yeah, I already eat every few hours. Was just wondering since I've been on low calories/ carbs if I was getting adequate amount of protein to make up for the loss cal/nutrients . Thanks
Nah, they just tell whether there are excess ketones excreted through urination. They dont even tell you if you are in ketosis per se
I dont know if a way to measure it at home, but the relationship between protein intake and nitrogen balance should be sufficient for a bodybuilder.
