Joining this late, my wife suffers from fibromyalgia, and some days she truly does suffer. She currently is on Gabapentin and Tramadol....most days are good but others, not so. We did get a hot tub a few months back and that really seems to help.
Some days I can even talk her into starting the day which really helps get through her days. Besides getting my wife in the hotub for any reason is good for me too
Hey,i lived with this for many years..bad days i wake up stiff as a board cant open my hands..and even my hair will hurt its horrible, the only way to describe it its the feeling like when you have the first stage of the flue..muscles and bones hurt...i like going into tanning beds it warms my muscles up and hot showers...helps alot..i stay away from narcotic meds..and stick with tramadol and tylenol ....makes my life much more comfortable ..
Anondid they check her thyroid? there is new research out there linking thyroid problems with fibro..
yes it is fibromyalgia. Thanks everyone for the input yeh it sucks some days hard to even walk but oh well.i take tramadol daily.
It isnt a supp, but a guy I know who is in his late 60's says the only thng that really helps his is soaking in a pool stretching/swimming... He's had it a long time... 10-1 you already kno this but he says it helps?
Anonare you talking about fibromyalgia? meditation and relaxation techniques are used in conjunction with medication but you may want to ask the dr to check your TSH levels because low thyroid can contribute to fibromyalgia..
not me but my mom, she takes Gabapentin. Took more than 6 months to get the diagnosis and another month or two to find out that this was the medicine that "fixed" her. Nothing else really treated the condition, just covered up the problems so she could function (pain killers and sleepers). Also she takes Synthroid as they suspect the hypothyroidism was a contributing factor.
If you don't have insurance or can't get a script, Alldaychemist sells it
hey godeep i been suffering from this for nearly 9 years even through training and martial arts, depending how bad hers is, tramadol works best foir me for pain, tell her stay away from the strong pain killers its addicting, also Lyrica worked for my aunt but had weight gain side effects,,im sorry to hear about your mom suffering through this its miserable i know first hand...
oh yeh tell her to have a vitaim D checked too ..same symtoms if your having a definacy
Anonshe may want to ask the doctor for a bio identical thyroid such as Armour as they have been shown to be processed by the body better and have better results ...
hardbdygrrrlll am a dude...lmao...
Anonthe tsh levels applies to you as well..
AnonI was responding to go deep who was talking about his mom.. you can see it says @godeep..
ah i see, sorry should have read more carefully,,
Anonnot a big deal did you have your thryoid tested?
yeh,i had blood worked tested from every aspect, strange everything comes up normal every year,,i do have a few points over on high white blood cells but thats it.
Anonyour tsh levels might be normal but your conversion rate might not be optimal.. plus they have lowered the standard for low thyroid. So did they check t4 and t3 levels or just tsh?
well i dug out my blood work results and see no tsh or t3 or t4 anywhere on it,,i took a pic of it but cannot figure how to post it,plus i cannot pm anyone yet, this stinks :(
lmao,,,i wish man,,
AnonIsnt that the condition that they use weed for pain relief? Get a nice strong sativa and give it a go it wont hurt you
AnonI hope weed isn't your answer for everything Rods.. while it does have its place in the world.. it isn't the cure all..lol..
