I’m not your buddy guy
ad
How do you handle it when someone smaller and younger than you decides to call you buddy or pal in a patronizing manner?
While it's normally water off a duck's back, I am pretty juiced up right now. I had a guy say, "Have a good day, buddy." His wife was right next to him, and I'm pretty sure she was eyeing me, so I'm sure it made him feel big.
I had to humble myself because I was at work, and I simply told him, "Have a good day." But is there a clever response to this that won't get you in trouble lol?

say hello to his wife next time and greet them both he will get it.
Buddy? That’s cute. Have a good one, kid.
Eh Buddy
Respond with “Sure thing, kid"
Respond with “Sure thing, pal”
Oh man... well... ive destroyed my ego, been humbled, lost all my self respect/dignity. Been in the gutter. Ive criticized/insulted myself more than anyone else can or will. Im pretty good about letting shit roll off my chest. Im all about avoiding confrontation. I dont let other people run my head anymore. Shit just rolls off me. When its time to get violent, best believe imma hurt you before you hurt me.
I know its not that serious... Im just sharing... I was such a... cocky little punk my first cycle. Shit will make you cocky. You can spot guys first time cycling just the way they move/talk/their energy.
I can still be cocky. Im just much more aware of it and embarrassed by it.
I can tell when black/Hispanic dudes are tryin to son me calling me buddy, talking like like a square whitey. Yeah... getting disrespected right to your face is... triggering. Ya gotta let that shit go tho. All it takes is 1 sexond to fuck your whole life up, right?
Respect to all my black/brown people out there. Love ya'lll.
It could be the juice to I call people bro buddy .. all kinds of shit honestly trying to be soft and friendly... I'm a convicted felon I have tattoos a bodybuilder the way I talk sounds street the tattoos they are Christ related so I get all kinds of shit from people accusing me of like ... Being something I'm not ... A white nationalist a racist a bigot a gangster a drug dealer not anymore everything all the time ..I understand sarcasm and patronizing comments .. but these interactions I'm genuinely trying to be kind loving an relatable ... I lost everything in the last few years I mean everything... I have some health stuff also so ... I mean everything and I learned relationships and treating people with Love and respect is probably the only legacy I can leave I try to model my like after Jesus I'm don't I identify as a Christian I'm a piece of shit sinner ... who is thankful for today and I have had bros try to get mad and shit the gym whatever cause I said Hey buddy how are you and they need lay off the tren... So also I'm not a push over and I have pulled more than a few guys cards in similar situations like other guys have suggested or hey I have gotten myself in trouble as well .. I suggest you listen to those guys... Lol
Its all in the way you/people say it. People know
If youre trying to be disrespectful, right? All in your/their tone/delivery etc, right?
Yes and no a lot of people have a really low self esteem and their ego is way too big at the same time
Is calling someone Buddy over in the US classed as insulting?
It's can be its an older term mainly used like hey little buddy ... But some people use bud and buddy just like bro so it for some it's not about down or whatever demeaning
It all depends who says it, how they say it. Some times black/brown dudes will say it to white people sarcastically. They may or may not have bad intentions/"venom" behind it.
You can tell if youve got any good sense of social awareness. People will let you know their energy, right? If someone is being... aggressive or combative or trying to intimidate ya/wind ya up.... youre from the UK Press? "Taking the piss out of ya" ??? Is that how ya say it? If someone is trying to get under your skin, usually theyll make it clear, give ya hints, unless theyre a pussy, on some passive aggressive/female shit.
The same way if I said to/in front of a black dude... "wassup my ncca!?" You can usually tell if its endearing or... youre trying to be insulting to black ppl. Right? Its all context/meaning/delivery.
Im so tired of the race shit. We had this shit all on a good path until... 2008.
Ahh okay so it sounds like its generally used by black guys to piss off white guys? We don't actually get that over here - people who say Buddy only ever say it to be nice/bond with you.
Over here, I find if it’s coming from someone your age or there is already a little tension or animosity there, and they call you “buddy”, it’s usually demeaning. If it’s coming from a good ole country, southern dude or an older guy, it’s usually harmless. 100% depends on the context/tone/relationship etc. it’s about a 50/50 chance if they are being an asshole or not lol
Nah... white guys say it to eachother. Im sure theres some black dudes that say buddy. Its all in the way you say it. America is such a melting pot of slang language. Its soooo diverse. Some things are super offensive to others and some arent! Its really just hit or miss.
No that's a good picture... I'm from a white suburbs in white America and it's used both ways press ... It can be very endearing like your best buddies pals like fucking the movie young guns ... I'm not saying you I'm saying that is not correct some black people here use as it as a food term as well ...it's just the guys a little bitch trying to get under his skin I'm guessing and I guess it kinda worked cause we're here talking about it.. lol
Its context dependant. Typically not in random encounters.
Exactly.
"Buddy" is much different than "Ngga" clearly
To be honest even if I was being friendly and jokey about it I wouldn't dare go up to a group of black guys and say that as you'd probably be killed LOL I think over here only a black guy could say that to another, it wouldn't go down well.
Im from NY. I think NYC and surrounding areas may be the only areas where that word is somewhat socially acceptable. Besides a kkk rally. NyC/NJ/CT, Philly/Boston/Baltimore... we dont have the same race issues that you have on the west coast. One reason why I love the northeast. It really is less of a racial area. I moved to phoenix for a little... shit was waaaaay more racial/divided.
What about 'Muggy Cunt'? Lmao
My favorite ethnic group after Americans are Brits. Irish/scottish/Australian. Best sense of humors.
The Irish and Scots tend not to like the English LOL
But yes - the sense of Humour is generally the same between Americans and English.
Or "Twat Cockwomble" lol
You Fuckin Shit Ant LOL
Thats a proper greeting over here, say it to my mom all the time
HAHAHAHAHAAAA
yeah fuck that guy. sounds like a total pussy. i would have punched him square in the balls but that's just me
You should have sucker punched his wife.
I’m not your guy friend.. lol
I’m not your Friend, buddy.
Im not your buddy Guy!!!!
When someone calls you buddy it’s not like they’re talking to you in a negative way. If I call someone buddy, then I feel a slight connection that we may be some type of “buddy’s”. I don’t care how young or smaller someone is than you, that doesn’t in anyway shape or form make you better than them. I’m sure you have a completely negative home life.
I would probably find it amusing and respond back with something like "right back at ya, champ"
Cool story buddy.
You too, babe
I think you need to lower your doses and get your e2 levels checked haha
Wow, this post really got the bros going. It's interesting to see the wide range of responses and assumptions about who I am or what kind of person I might be. The interaction with this guy was a brief moment in time.
I'm usually "the nice guy," so much so that most people in my life would have a hard time imagining me being angry. Frustrated or upset, sure. Angry? Not really.
As I said before, situations like this normally aren't a big deal. But if we're being honest, I think most of us have had moments where someone says something or gives us a certain look and, for a split second, you just want to punch them in the face. It doesn't mean you're going to do it. It just means you're human.
I won't go into all the details, but life has given me plenty of opportunities to learn self control and perspective. I was a homeless teenager and have been on my own since I was 16. It took me a long time to get on my feet, but for more than 20 years I've lived a life centered on service and sacrifice. I've worked hard for the life I've built and my little slice of heaven, which is exactly why I would never throw it away over a random interaction with a stranger.
For the record, I'm happily married and have zero interest in flirting with my clients. His wife happened to be smiling and making eye contact. That's not something I encouraged or acted on, and I think most people would notice it if it happened to them.
What I find most interesting is how quick some people are to pretend PEDs can't affect mental health, especially at higher doses. Hormonal changes can absolutely influence mood. High estrogen can cause anxiety and mood swings, low estrogen can contribute to depression and low motivation, high prolactin can lead to low mood and fatigue, and low testosterone after a cycle can cause depression, irritability, and brain fog. Steroids can also affect sleep and alter dopamine and serotonin levels, increasing anxiety, aggression, emotional instability, or depression.
None of that excuses bad behavior, but it's something worth acknowledging. That's why regular blood work matters. Keeping your health markers in check is just as important as tracking physical results.
It not the juice BUDDY, it's you. Get over yourself, give the kid a thumbs up and go on about your business.
I often hear people, especially younger people, say, Bud, Buddy, Pal & Bro. I wouldnt think anything of it, if it was said to me.
You assuming his wife was looking at you as well.
Get hearing the buddy as it can sound childish. Probably innocent comment
Next time just knock him out, drag him behind a bush and go on your merrily way
Double down. “Thanks bud!”
I mean you could always just give him a playful wink and nobody can hear it and cameras might have trouble picking it up. If you really wanted to piss him off, wink at his girl. Or blow them a kiss. Whatever.
You called?
Noone knows Buddy Guy....? Lol
pretty sure it's not because you're juiced up.
Man… between this and some other dude’s earlier road rage post.. you guys are short tempered af.
I personally wouldn't even notice a guy saying that to me. I just really give zero fucks about NPCs in my life. And I have other shit to think about.
I tell this to my son weekly.. “Lions don’t care of the opinions of sheep”. It’s a nice philosophy to have
I’ve always said a lion doesn’t give a fuck what a gazelle thinks but same idea.
I also like the saying, “In order for me to be offended, I would first need to value your opinion.”
Same concept. Their opinion is worthless until their character convinces me otherwise.
Got to agree here. Feelings cloud reality. Anabolics make people feel more clouding their reality even more. We must forego our feelings in order to grow. Live in reality
