Hurricane Isaac?
Over the years the religious right wing have blamed NATURAL & UNNATURAL events on evil-doers. Billy Graham and Pat Robertson were probably the most vocal.
A.I.D.S. Is Gods wrath on man because of his 'acceptance' of homosexuality.
9-11 Was allowed to happen by God because of the ACLU and it's involvement in NYC
Katrina leveled New Orleans because of the 'debauchery' of it's citizens and the U.S. view on abortion
Earthquakes in Southern California because of their 'extravagant alternate' lifestyle.
The Tsunami of '04 hit the Indian Ocean region specifically because of the large Muslim/Hindu population
The Haiti earthquake was because of their 'pact with the devil'.....
The asinine comments go on and on...
Now you have the Wetsboro church group GodHatesFags cheering the deaths of American soldiers overseas because of the U.S. tolerance for the GLBT community.
My question.....IS HURRICANE ISAAC HITTING THE REPUBLICAN CONVENTION BECAUSE OF THEIR VIEWS?

I just googled it and those are some fucked up people. Their views are more extreme than the kkk. They literally are like the non violent kkk. We will probably see them in the news when they push someone to far. Are we talking Phelps as in Michael Phelps family?
Michael Phelps swimming champ?....no...no...no...
These crazy fucks are led by their patriarch Fred Phelps. He and his daughter are lawyers and they use every loophole in the law to use free speech demonstrations at the funerals of fallen soldiers. In the past they have picketed funerals for people with A.I.D.S.
They've brainwashed their children into saying things like 'God Hates Fags' on national TV..in the past, when the interviewer asks the child' Do you know what the word fag means? The child is clueless...the mother answers for them. They're just repeating what they've been told...sort of like ditto-heads.... Their website is REVOLTING! They actually have a clock for fallen soldiers that they proudly display..along with the dates of upcoming funerals that they wish to picket.
Those sorry motherfuckers may get away with bullshit like that in certain parts of the U.S. but not in MS...
They gov needs to secretly "take care" of them. Maybe hire the cast of the expendable to take em out lol
.
Supernova283Just because it was postponed doesn't mean it's going to be hit.
http://i.huffpost.com/gen/746061/thumbs/o-HURRICANE-ISAAC-TROPICAL-STORM...
Unless it corkscrews around it's not going to hit them.
Are you playing 'semantics' or do you subscribe to the same theories of Bible-beaters?
Supernova283All I'm saying is that I'm 99% sure it's not going to hit Tampa. The delay of the convention wasn't anything huge and isn't really hurting the GOP.
I'm atheist, but I'm still Republican. I don't think HIV was created to punish gays.
I'm just pointing out your logic is flawed.
That's the point..it's not my logic!!! These are the views of the likes of bible thumpers like Pat Robertson.
I think the correlation of natural weather patterns/disasters to not listening to God is a flawed theory... In fact it's B.S.!
Supernova283I'm sorry which hurricane are you following? Isaac isn't going to strike anywhere near Tampa.
The REPUBLICAN CONVENTION has been postponed due to Isaac...are you following the news?
Anonpostponed and being hit are two different----
Also with all the news that the RNC is getting because of this, did you everything now it will have more people watching the convention now. Cause the world now knows it has been moved to tomorrow. Just saying.
I don't see the correlation to having MORE viewers because it was postponed??.... If anything I think less people would watch because of it being rescheduled... I was looking forward to Trumps speech. Unfortunately, since it's been postponed he won't be speaking...
since were playing semantics... I'll rephrase it this way..."Is God postponing the convention because their views?"
Happy?
AnonYes so everyone knows what their views are now, and when the convention is going to be, GOD wants everyone to listen in.
cause every Chanel takes about the hurricane and how the RNC is now Tuesday and who is going to speak.
Supernova283Well he believes that the hurricane has given the convention publicity which is a good thing. So if god did throw the hurricane their way to postpone the convention he would have done so to help them.
Haha....publicity...whether Bad or Good is publicity...huh?
I see where you're going with this....
Do you agree with the views of bible-thumpers like those posted above? Just curious....
Anoneverything you listed above is about Death people.. Known has died, at the RNC--and one could say this is publicity and you should tune into the RNC because if you don't and you vote for Obama deth to America will come.
Like i said everyone knows when the RNC is now. Don't they.
Death to America?
Sounds like an Islamic Fundamentalist...
Who says that?
Anonsounds like Obama in his book
Huh?.
Which right wing loony told you that?
That's funny!!!
Supernova283I already said I don't. And yeah publicity is good. Nice to get some coverage at all. CNN, NBC, etc. all don't give the GOP any coverage. The media in this country is so screwed up and bias.
Fox is the least bias since at least they have Democrats on payroll to give a fair discussion instead of one party just hammering the other and they're the ones who people believe shouldn't even be considered a news source.
I don't agree with some of the things that other Republicans have done however it's not like the Democrats haven't done stupid things as well.
Whoa...did you say FOX is the least biased????... I call B.S. On that!! Fox is the most conservative right wing outlet on the airwaves...the reason they say that the media is liberal is because they are sooo far right that EVERYTHING is to the left. Roger Ailes has said MANY times that he is proud of the conservative right wing approach that his network takes. As for Democrats on the payroll, every network has the 'other' side viewpoints from time to time. Juan Williams, Alan and Bob Beckel get 'POUNDED' every time they speak..there isn't a conversation when they're involved..rather their being insulted...but, hey, they get paid a nice coin to do so!
Yeah, both the Dems and Republicans are lame.....it's time for a third party to get involved..unfortunately the system has been rigged to prevent this.
CleyonI guess that MSNBC is your news outlet of choice? MAybe you should actually read some indipendent media reviews. Fox news has conservative AND liberal commentators. Just because they don't smoke the left wing cool-aid doesn't mean that they are right-wing extremist television.
As far as a third party getting in the mix, other political systems have shown that all that accompishes is to get the most extreme person possible elected. Yeah, it will still bounce back and forth between left and right, but the people who are elected won't be nearly as sane as the current group that's being elected.
For the record, I am a Christian, but I don't expect my party to have any religious values. I vote for politicians to keep the government OUT of my life. At this moment in time, there is only one option.
Cleyon, I didnt say Fox is the mouth piece of the conservative movement...their President Roger Ailes has Proudly said that in interviews. Fox was created by Rupert Murdoch in the mid 90's to go up against MSNBC(Ailes worked for CNBC prior to Fox) he doesn't mince his words when talking about the influence that Fox has had on the modern conservative movement in the US. Proud of it!
No.. I don't have an outlet of choice...I read EVERYTHING from BBC,SKY News,Fox,Msnbc,CNN all the major national networks and many international outlets and then come to my own conclusion. I don't subscribe to EITHER major political party in the US because my views differ depending on subject matter. I never understood why a person would vote for someone simply because of the political party they belong to.
For the record, I am an Atheist and I would like the least amount of government in my life as well. Unfortunately, neither major party is going to allow that soon. You have the Dems pushing Socialized medicine along with overspending on 'Safety Nets' and the GOP wanting to get involved in my bedroom and making choices for My Wife's body.
it comes down to 'who is the lesser' of two evils?
CleyonThat's disshonest, the GOP doesn't want to make choices for your wife's body. Your wife can do whatever she wants to do, we just shouldn't be required to pay for it. Nobody is saying to outlaw contraceptives (OK, probably some extreme idiots are), what the argument is about is whether or not I should be required to pay for your contraceptives if I have moral objectives against it.
Cleyon, where are you getting these facts from? Fox news? You ought to EXPAND your reading, bro. Like I said ..theyre proud to be biased towards the neo-con movement.
FACT: Some of the most influential members of the current GOP want to overturn Roe vs. Wade.
FACT: The head of the GOP platform committee Bob McDonnell has repeatedly defended his anti-abortion views.
The Republican platform asserts the sanctity of human life and affirms the life of an unborn child has a fundamental right to life that cannot be infringed! Even in the exception of rape!!
Recently Romney has backed off that view, but, the most influential members of his party share the same view.
I don't want to pay for anyone's contraceptives either, but, my wife should be the ONLY person to decide whether or not she will have an abortion..not some politician.
