HEAT STRESS
I live n s. Cali and work in the oilfields where every day is over 100°. Im getn ready to turn 30 this year and up until this year have always felt pretty strong, indestructible, strong stomach good endurance and all that. About 5-6 weeks ago when the heat really 1st hit I was drinking 1-2 gal of water a day like I always do, vitamins, fish oils, joint pills ,bcaa's all that like normal, like I've done out here for the last 4-5 years. But it didn't help this year cuz I got very sick and dehydrated guts cramping up and all that good stuff. It took me 4-5 days to get back to work (doc wasn't happy but gotta pay bills) and about a month b4 all my levels (liver, kidneys, muscle damage) went back to normal. I've REALLY been wanting to start my ripblend /winny cycle(got it right b4 I got sick) for a while now I've even tried forcing myself back to the gym but I still feel like shit! Little to no energy, no appetite, stomach feeling very weird(all my tests come back normal) and im talking about HEAT STRESS NOT HEAT STROKE. Im sitting here very depressed I've lost about 10 lbs of muscle while gaining 10 lbs of fat. So I just wanted to throw this out to my EROIDS BROTHERS to c if ne1 has ne experience with this and maybe I can bring up something to my doc, or maybe I just need to keep taking it easy till this heat goes away or maybe im just getting old lol. Ne help would b appreciated, thanks.......VENGEANCE

Ur right it is somewhat mental and I did go back and start a full body workout (1 exercise 1 set per muscle) but that was 2 weeks ago. Its also my work too, I do 12and hr days n the heat so after that hitn the gym isn't easy. I think il do exactly what u said starting tomoro, just go real easy on the weights and concentrate more on building my cardio....again thanks, I've been pretty worried

Bro - part of it is mind over matter and the other is physical. Don't expect to back to your old routine and weights. Go to the gym and just do some light cardio and a full body tone routine to get back into the swing over time. The other thing is to talk to your doc about a B12 shot on the lite end or talk about a short stint on bupropion. (http://www.cfids.org/archives/2001rr/2001-rr3-article01.asp) Also, if he does not know, you need to discuss your last cycle.
This is experience talking.
AnonDo not self medicate but ask your doctor to explore giving you potassium, of course you can try an isotonic drink like gatroade and incorporate banana's into your diet as well.
Do not purchase potassium and start taking without advice as it could affect your heart rythm..
Hopefully that will help with cramps
AnonThanks for being the only 1 who cares lol. Ive got another dr appt nxt week but all my levels(electrolytes potassium level ect...)all come back well within the normal ranges. Im not all sick like I was, no cramping or ne this.g I just feel like shit, weak, no appetite. I just don't feel normal. I've been reading on the web about stuff being permanently messed up, stuff about ur internal thermometer being broken....idk I just wanna get back n the gym and b able to workout without feeling like I just ran a marathon with the flu.
