Weird thing from post office

ad

So I've got a pack that's come from an international source that uses a reship when it hits country. Every thing proceeded as usual but then it's been in transit to next facility a town over for days. Now today I get home and it's a receipt stating they couldn't leave it cuz theirs postage owed on it but the tracking still says in transit and this is the only pack it could be. Went up there and it was still on the truck. Idk just trying to get a read on this

Things get funky sometimes when they use a reshipper. I’ve gotten updates saying delivery was attempted but no one home. Give it more time.

Go to post office, pay cash and leave with package or cuffs, this game is not without risk.

The "I didn't order it" excuse/defense will be harder to claim/prove if you're willing to spend money to receive it.

I'm sure that the re-shipper isn't high on the payroll.

I’m curious if it was a direct pack from overseas or sent through a 3rd party here in the US. Either way I wouldn’t be too concerned but if it was the later I wouldn’t worry at all and just pay the fee. I’ve had it happen with stuff I got from eBay.

How much postage is owed? If not to much I would just pay it and contact the source to get credit for it.

Tracking number not showing the real status every time. It's depends of the country you waiting package from and shipping method your sender did choose. If package isn't really big, no worries and pick it up.

Sometimes whatever county it passes through will put a postage fee on it, but when that happens it usually won't leave that county until it gets paid. I've never heard of the United States putting a fee on it. And usually they won't bring it to your house asking for the fee. It will stay at the post office and they will send you a letter saying to pay a fee. But if you paid whatever shipping price the source asked for and their is additional fees the source should cover those fees.

It could be, but if this source does this shipping regularly they should already know what's going on with the reshipper.

Never have been in that situation I would get with the source and ask questions there to see if it's common or not for his packs maybe someone can chime in with a similar experience I'm my 10 plus years never had it happend to me . Granted sources have switched up in the years the way things are sent not impossible
