Week one down and more to come.
Here I sit, with both quads pulsating from all the injections of the rip blend and equi-test, contemplating how far I came just in one week and looking forward into the next eleven weeks until I step on stage for my first show in France. There is so much going on behind the scene during this pre-contest prep that it is easy to forget to write about the diet, exercise, and diet while focusing too much on the gear. Of course I know things would be different if I didn't use but this topic is not about that. I want to stress the well beloved word DIET. I can take all the gear I want but if my diet is not dialed inn then all that muscle will be covered under layers of fat and water. What good is that? I am taking in 7 meals a day through two different ways, solids and liquids. Protein is around 40% of my total caloric intake, 40% for good carbs, and 20% in good fats. Protein comes from egg whites, egg white powder, tuna, and chicken. Beef is thrown in there on several occasions and will be eliminated as I approach closer to the date. Cardio work for the first three weeks consist of jogging 30 minutes in the morning before my first meal 3/4 times a week. So there you have it, the cost of looking and feeling good. I will post another recap at the end of week two. See you then
