Should I cruise or cycle?
Well after lots of research and getting my blood work done I decided to run a cycle of 250mg test cyp a week, planned on doing an 18-20week cycle. Total T before was 420ng/dl free T was 86, estrogen was 19. got tested again and total T was 1239ng/dl and free T is 349 estrogen was 51. 420ng/dl Is not “low” according to quest labs but according to Goodlabs its not good. I was going into this thinking I wanted to cycle, but I’m really debating on just cruising after just because I feel so damn good now. What do you guys think? I’m all ears on this and would like some veterans opinions on this. I can upload bloodwork later. I’m 26yo, 6’0ft, and 19% bf and weigh 195 according to an inbody scan, I used to be 270lbs and was over 30% bf according to the inbody scan.

Just freeze your sperm. Not the cheapest option, but youll be able to blast (and cruise) all you want with no worry. Assuming your boys are strong right now. Nut in a cup, have it tested, then freeze it. Then get jacked.
If you are getting married I'd loop the wife in on the conversation. Your fertility becomes her problem too if all of a sudden you both want to have kids. It's not like doomsday if you cruise for a year, but seeing how you're 26 I'm guessing you're gonna wait a few years before trying and cruising for multiple years will fuck up your fertility and there's no guarantee it comes back. Also, it may eventually come back, but it can take multiple years so your plans of having kids gets kicked way further down the road than you wanted.
I'm 29 and have been doing trt since 27 came off for 5 months to get my wife pregnant. For me the increase of my quality of life compared to being at my natural baseline was worth the risk of my fertility and my wife was onboard. We were lucky enough to get pregnant with a pretty low sperm count on my side.
I won't get into the parent stuff and how kids are the greatest blessing type of stuff because everybody told me that before and it's impossible to understand without actually having a kid, but yeah seeing your wife and baby is the greatest positive emotions I've felt in life.
What's the motivation for wanting cruise instead of cycle just wanting to continue feeling great, bodybuilding, powerlifting? I hope this doesn't come off as a "know it all" just thought id throw in my 2 cents since I dealt with this recently.
She’s aware of the consequences of my actions, I made sure to tell her when I first thought of starting a cycle. The quality of life is my motive for wanting to cruise! I just feel 100x better now on test, my mood has changed for the better, I feel motivated to go to the gym again, Im not feeling fatigued or lethargic even after 7 hours of sleep. These last 6 weeks have been nothing but amazing.
Essentially, that's the decision I made. I will say the initial test high will level out and it won't feel as euphoric. Best advice some of the members here told me was to take it slow it's a marathon and not a sprint, and both of us have decided to hop on pretty early.
Are you married? Have kids? I would really reconsider cruising at such a young age. Every good man needs to reproduce, crusing will limit that possibility.
Soon to be married, we have discussed having kids and we both are on the fence about having kids
Then def do not cruise man... PCT, get married, get her preggo, then blast again.. then repeat
If you start cruising now instead of PCT, you'll be cruising for the rest of your life. It's up to you. Do you wanna inject till you die?
I wouldn’t base your test levels off a single test. Natural levels fluctuate. 26 is really young to make that kind of commitment. Are you looking to have kids some day? If so that’s even more reason to cycle until after you have kids. The last thing you want to do is cruise for years until then and then struggle to get your wife pregnant and have to come off. After years of being shutdown your sex drive will be non existent, at a time when you’re expected to fuck your wife every chance you get. The better approach would be to cycle until then and give your body ample time to recover in between. Run 1 cycle a year, 20ish weeks, then take the remaining 32 weeks off. Whether that’s a bulker in the winter or cutter in the spring/summer is up to you. Don’t do both though. You need time off. You’d priorities may change too. A lot changes over the next 10 years. If you don’t have to be dependent on TRT, life’s a lot easier without out. That would be my suggestion for you.
Now if you seriously stick with this you may get to a point where you surpass the level of muscle your body can hold off gear. So you blow up on cycle past your genetic potential and then slowly drop it after you come off even while staying dedicated to your diet and training. Then at that point you have to decide if you want to stay on. Most guys never get there though.
I’m pretty new to eroids, but as far as keeping fertility and testes functional I haven’t seen much about running HCG along with my cycle, is a 20 week cycle long enough to where I need to run HCG?I have some just in case, but I really don’t want to add something else for now. Anyway thanks for the opinion, really appreciate it bro
The theory behind HCG use on cycle is it makes coming off easier and helps your HPTA restart faster, it’s not just for maintaining fertility. HCG mimics the actions of LH which signals your Leydig cells in your balls to produce testosterone. On gear that signal stops and your boys go off line and basically lie dormant. That’s why they can shrink. Then when you come off it can take some time for them to wake back up. HCG helps avoid this delay. It will help you maintain some level of intratesticular testosterone while on exogenous testosterone. So when your cycle stops and you start pushing Clomid and Nolva which will help restart your natural LH production your boys are ready to go because they never really stopped.
I can understand not wanting to introduce another drug in the beginning of your first cycle. Back in the day we used to start the HCG like 2 weeks before the cycle ended, blasting larger amounts of it EOD. I don’t think that was the best approach but it seemed to help get the boys woken up and ready to restart during pct. But what id recommend to you if you’re going 20 weeks total is start it around week 10-15. You should know exactly how the test is affecting you at that point and should be able to distinguish any new issues after introducing HCG. But you really shouldn’t have any problems. It’s well a tolerated drug. But If you’re sensitive estrogen to or susceptible to estrogen related issues HCG can increase those. You’re gonna wait 10-14 days after your last test shot to start clomid and nolva but you’ll continue with the HCG during that time. So if you’re starting it at week 15 you’ll basically run hcg for 7 weeks total. Then 3 days after your last hcg shot start the SERMs.
26 years old. Just loosing weight and getting diet in check would likely raise your numbers naturally. Shutting down your natural testosterone production is a lifetime commitment that I would seriously consider before trt or cruising. Just my opinion though.
