Just wanted to take a moment to more or less rant about the process of up voting and down voting posts made in the forums. My issue is predominately with the down voting aspect. I noticed that I dropped a point today. No big deal. Wasn't my first down voting and likely won't be the last. But I have an issue with the fact that if you've made hundreds and thousands of posts on here, it's next to impossible for us to determine where the voting may have occurred. I would personally like to know where and when I get down voted so that I can review what I may have posted and try to learn and grow from it. If I'm wrong then fine. But don't just tell him I'm wrong or mistaken without giving me the oportunity to understand why. We're all here to learn. That's what makes this site so amazing. But right now I feel like I just took a thousand question exam and was told I answered one incorrectly. Ok, which one? Anyways, sorry for the rant. Take care brothers.

Like I said below, I could care less about who down voted. It's about knowing where and when the voting occurred. How do I know what I did wrong if I can't figure out where it took place. At the same time however, if you're gonna down vote or up vote even, you should be adult enough to share your reasoning behind it. But yes, most likely bad kids in a sandbox.

GearofWarI agree that people use downvoting just for retribution reasons sometimes. For example, if you look at my self-shots I posted a before pic of me when I was at 354lbs, and someone thought it would be nice to downvote me for it. No reasoning really. Maybe the person who downvoted me is prejudiced against fat people? Who knows. But, it makes it so that I don't really want to post up pics anymore if I'm just going to get downvoted for them. I don't think I broke any rules, and I feel like I'm pretty easygoing, humble and gracious. Sorry to whine but it sucks to get downvoted for posting a before pic. Someone mentioned in a comment on one of my pics that it looked like I was karma whoring, but in all honesty it is because I use my phone ONLY for eroids due to privacy issues and not all functions work as designed on a phone. Also at the time I had no idea you could up more than one pic at a time, so that's why if you look at me earliest self shots I made them 2 pics in one, side-by-sides so I could get more up at once. No whoring intended. Just technical limitations, and lack of knowledge. People need to understand things like that before jumping to conclusions. Also people hate on me because I have a good(ish) amount of karma and I've only been a member since November 2012. Haters gonna hate, right? Anyways, good post and thanks for bringing this up.
Anyone that would down vote your before pic needs kicked in the dick. I was about 80 pounds over weight at one point. I don't have the balls to post a pic of me from that time. Im here to learn and become better at understanding what we're doing. If I can help someone out the great, but I still have a tremendous amount to learn myself. There's not a single person on this site that knows absolutely everything, some are seriously close. But there's a bunch of guys who run around acting like they are some sort of guru when really they know very little. Gonna check your pic out now brother. I won't down vote it that's for sure.

its my understanding that down voting is for people posting about the benefits of running a 20 week dbol cycle and thing of the like. Ive seen a few folks on here using it to spread their hatred instead. As much as i want to downvote you just to be a sarcastic dick right now, i realize its not the place. I agree with this sentiment. Also if you're going to give a thumbs down, at least be man (or woman) enough to say why. Sometimes, I'll see stuff that's been negged (could be an accident though) and I'm wondering why the hell would someone do that.
AnonAll of my down votes went on a certain SRC review page because they down voted the people who left bad reviews to the point that no one could see it. BFG finally got involved. Youre right though ANY down vote people should own up to. I've got them just for posting gear pics.

It's all good. This post wasn't targeted at anyone specific or even wanting to know who did what. It's simply a case of wanting to know when and what I did wrong so I do t make the same mistakes in the future. We're good brother.
Was it an accident? I know it sometimes happens. Actually it happens pretty frequently with tough screens.
Happens a lot on phones, I've done it myself and had to correct it.

It was a little difficult to detect the sarcasm but the comment that NITTI posted below did NOT deserve the attack, and actually from what I have seen lately behavior like this has gotten better. MODS are stamping this stuff out and/or stopping it before it starts.

That was well said! I am the same the only reason I care if I am down voted is if I am breaking a rule and not aware of it. That would be my concern as well. I had this happen recently but it turned out to be a fluke, Nitti was on it like Sherlock Holmes! Well +1 from me this is a good topic to be reminded of and like Nitti said "if you didn't break a rule it is unjust."
