+ 1 Steroids and memory loss

ad

https://www.medindia.net/news/anabolic-androgenic-steroids-significant-i...

So I came across an interesting read today talking about how the use of steroids actually affects your memory. The did a test on 100 people half on steroids for a long period of time and other half not on at all ... They were give test after test and with each elteat conclusion they determined that the steroid users memories were way worse .. 39% had a harder time with remembering certain cognitive function such as when to do something later that they had planned like taking medication remembering to do something they had erlier planned on clocking back in after clocking out things like that .they were also 28% worse in recalling past memories .. .me personally I do notice a slight difference in recalling my past memories I find myself having to think alot harder about certain things ..but who know this was just a study recently on just 100 people so no telling how much worse or less it could effect people ... Hope someone finds this interesting like I did .

I had a really good response all ready to go, but can't for the life of me remember it. So I re-read the post, and had a really good response ready to go but...

I read the link but there is not enough info to assess the veracity or validity of the research. No list of variables except the age of the steroid/non-steroid users. I would think that there is much more to alleged memory loss in the stated age group than steroid use - and even the amount, type and duration of steroid use is lacking. Overall - I wouldn't consider this 'research' as worthy of further comment.

Could you repeat the question?

Well if the study was done before the long term use and after with the same people it could be conclusive. Now its been a long time (23 years) since i was in school but the last i remember was nerds didn't work out let alone use steroids.

Awesome.

So we finally have the answer that a few "bashful" people on here can use if they are questioned about why they look so awesome and "they must be on juice" deduction causes someone to ask them:

Q. "hey buddy, what are you on/are you on steroids"

A. "I don't recall/I don't remember, but I look pretty fucking amazing compared to you don't I"

You can edit the last part if you desire but for someone like me who has to put up with being asked that 2-3x weekly or the cool people that think they are whispering low enough for me not to hear:

"he looks great, yeah wow. Must be steroids" as part of a discussion they decide to interrupt their original discussion with another person, when I walk into the room or pass by.

Seriously, I just heard that last comment in one of my classes this past weekend that I was instructing in.

Wait a minute...what thread is this about again? ;)

As long as I don't forget what some of my "stealth" products are based on color/letter code, I think I will be just fine. LOL

Sorry what are we discussing again?

My memory is and always has been lower than average I'd say.

But if I ever take tren I can remember EVERYTHING. even shit from when I was like 6 years old......especialy all the negative stuff

Also this doesn't mention if anyone also used rec drugs or what the diets of these people were sleep ect........

It's just another "steroids are to blame" article

I find it quite interesting. For the past couple of years my memory has gotten worse and worse but I always chalked it up to getting older. I've only been using peds now for a little over 4yrs so I can't say I contribute it to my loss of memory but I also can't say I don't. It will be quite intriguing to read up more on this to get a better feel on this. Good share bro.

Correlation does not prove causation. Statistically speaking that means that just because two things happen in conjunction does not mean mean that one caused the other. The people who were taking steroids preformed worse on the memory exercises. It does not mean that it was because they were taking steroids. People love to try and hide that one of the most basic fundamentals of statistics when designing studies specifically to try to push an agenda.

Gear users are too busy planning their next cycle to pay much attention to a memory test.

Hmmmm... perhaps it could be from the indirect side effects of steroids. We know that heart health has an effect on brain health. But I highly doubt that androgens affect memory, otherwise men would have much worse memory than women.

Are you kidding me my wife brings shit from 20 years ago...they have selective memory.

Can’t say I agree with that. My memory is almost to good. I would like to see a study involving Atleast 1000 people users and non users.

That's what I was saying st the end it's only 100 people so no a good number of people for this kind of study to be honest my memory loss problem stems from all the years I used to partake in the greenage lol had to stop tho but I think it took it's toll
