neck issues
If you go back 8/9 months you will see that I posted about this when it started. Any how I have mild disc degeneration in my neck, most of us do. But i also had a very severe herniated disk at c6c7 causing an in pinged nerve, not your run of the mill pinched nerve. Long story short here we are 9 months later and I'm left with my left lower pec left triceps and left lower lat about 25 to 30% smaller then my right. It's not really to noticeable just walk by me but its there. Every ones first response is just train those muscle more, lol. I have been but we think permanent damage has been done and I don't think I'm getting any stimulation in the muscle.
I was wondering if any guys have suffered the same and what maybe youv done about it. I opted not to have the surgery this year as they wanted to do and low and behold last week's MRI showed the herniated portion has gone, so the nerve is no longer under presure.
Real quick I can't blame this on lifting n or work, it's just something that happened. How did you guys deal with this shit, man this a tuff one for me.

I've had neck issues for more than 20 years including left side weakness. Like most people, if you MRI a body part, you will find issues. They originally wanted to do fusion surgery but there was no way I was doing that. Over the years I made a lot of life style changes and it has gotten a lot better. Still acts up every once in a while but no where near as bad as it once did.
Also, most people don't realize this but your muscles play a big role in the pain. When you neck muscle are tense and knotted, they pull the cervical curve out of alignment. Best bet is to get daily neck massages if possible to keep those muscles relaxed. You can also look into the Brookstone Neck Massager. It actually works pretty good. Keep in mind some of the muscles that affect you neck are midway down the back. It's all connected.
Here are some other lifestyle changes I made:
I no longer have any weakness and that's pretty much all I do.
bigwillyCrazy ain't man, same here have had issues for years, never this severe but small things ya know. And yes I turned town the fusion surgery, they want to take a peice of hip bone to jam in there lol. I am getting over this ,,,,, slowly. I still do the portable traction thing some nights.at it's worst I tried every thing from acupuncture to enversion, it seems only time will solve this.
I tell ya at 40 things don't just fix them selves anymore do they bro.
They don't. It sucks.
