+ 5 Karma is meaningless? U sure?

ad

I have a question. Well a couple questions. First,.. Is anyone confused on what is considered karma whoring?
Give me a list of things you would consider pimping yourself out for points? Let's clear the air.

I already know how much karma means to some of you. And how proud you are of the tag next to your pic. But I'll be honest. About 80% of you who sky rocketed up to advanced or higher in a year or less , you didn't get those points from being an AAS guru and helping everyone in the forum. I can count maybe 10 people in the last 12 months who really dedicate their time to help with cycles and other questions. Other than them, it's almost ALL from posting pics one after another after another like we don't see the patterns. Some even send Mass PM's telling ppl to check out their pics without actually saying "hey give me some karma".

I'm making it clear here and now! I'm going to start digging through ppls karma closely to look for patterns. I hope you don't have a little clique of friends who circle jerk each other's karma because It might just disappear from your page. If you think you might fall under the spotlight and want to come clean, I might let you go with a warning and a doc. Karma may not be important in reality but wait, you sure about that? Because I know of sources who send shit loads of gear to high ranking members in promos thanking them for their service to the site. So there is a lot of free gear at stake which makes it very important to a lot of ppl.

If I find anything suspect and it reveals anything obviously underhanded, unless you came clean , you won't be shown any mercy.

I see a lot of ideas for changing the system. Some are actually really good. Don't not so much.
1). Stop giving karma for gear pics.
Here's the problem with that. You do remember buying that bottle of test e in the gym and dying to get online to check the images on google to see if they match? I do. Or the sust amps. We all had Karachi at some point. Your boy says "yo those are bootleg homie" and you don't wana believe it and again can't wait to get home to check the google images for a match. Those images are coming from the top AAS sites on the planet. Well who is number 1? We are! So those images are your gear pics. It's an important part of the site. But I don't think you guys should be bumping karma for a pic of a bottle of test prop. If there's an impressive stash or big order , letting us know you got it.
2). Put a cap on karma in pics!
Not bad. I can see that. 5 point max with all the upvotes you can handle. Works for me.***
This one is classic,...
3). Have a book and bail system implemented for karma whores
If you get caught in a circle jerk or whoring for pics you get a temp ban (booked) and you can return after x amount of days with a warning and a points dock depending on the level of the offense. Do it again and you get booked with a temp ban but this time no ROR. You gotta pay bail to get back on. $25 fee to the eroids fund. Help pay for the server or any other expenses the boss has. Get 3 months probation (no karma awarded during probation). Do it a third time you're permabanned unless you pay $100 bail and get 3-6 months probation (no karma awarded during probation) with a reset of your score upon your return.
Now I'll admit this is kinda ghetto. But it's actually not a bad idea

Another by iron game

So I'm posting this at the request of a fellow member who could not post it themselves due to some different reasons I dont even understand lol. So just just wanna make that clear, these are not my thoughts, just helping out a fellow eroider who sent me a message asking to post this for them.
"The problem with the karma system is not the people who post pictures. Posting all the time is stupid, but it gives you no karma. The problem with the system is the people giving the karma. People need to think before they click, is this picture appropriate, helpful, a good representation of eroids? Most likely the answer is no, then do not up vote that picture. Make a comment, "nice pic bro" or whatever but do not give people karma just for the hell of it. Limiting the amount of points per picture is not a good idea. I have seen people get 30+ hits but it's normally because of amazing progress or fast results. I have also seen incredibly out of shape people get tons of karma, and this blows my mind. If a person posts a shot and they look like they have never touched a weight, why are you giving them karma?
IMHO Gear pics should not be availble for karma. Post the pic sure, but only because you need to show what you got. Too many people post the same vials in different poses over and over and over that's ridiculous."

I must not be that cool either. Nobody has dumped gear on me. I have received an extra bottle or something like that but the only other gear I got free would be on promo's that everybody else had access to as well. And truth is I don't mind paying for a good service so it's all good.

I've only ever received a bottle of test e and p to try from a source once. In over 3 years!!! Maybe this isn't the problem we make out?

I have enough gear. Really I do. But thanks.

Pale's picture

That is okay bro. I have more than I need as is.

So my source is simply a scrooge? All I can do for the guy is write nice reviews which I would do anyways because he deserves it. So, I must be missing out on some technique here that's escaping me.

I'm on the outside as well. I've never gotten any free gear, except for a promo that everyone who purchased from this source was able to participate in. Never anything for karma. What are we missing here. My guess is that higher karma folks may be asking for it in some cases. Maybe sources are coming to them, but they've skipped you and I (as I wipe a tear from my cheek). ;-)

Confused. Look like Ace or look like an ass. Pretty much the same. Jk Ace. But I do think that is a good idea. I see people posting pics and say no karma please just posting this for whatever reason and they still get thumbs up.

Gsxr1000spanker's picture

I'm of the opinion that you should get karma for helping others directly in the forums. I don't see why somebody can spend an hour in the cycle forum guiding another person and potentially saving their health and get one thumbs up for a good job. Then another can post a picture of a bottle of test or a picture of their pecks and they get 5-10 thumbs up! It's disproportionate to the individual's efforts and value to our community.
Of coarse you can comment....... well done, haven't you done well etc. Or .......thanks for posting the test picture of that bottle what a valuable member of this community you are but it doesn't deserve all that reward.
I have to be honest, I didn't even really know this was happening until this thread came up and it has annoyed me a little. I have looked at a few of the EXP members and seen that they do post a shit load of pictures. It's a cleaver 'backdoor' way of getting karma in my opinion. I must hope that they didn't ever view it this way.
Moan over, there is a wealth of quality, knowledgable people on here and their karma has been earned the hard way.
If your here purely to ponce karma and score free gear or that's even high up on your list, I don't think you belong here. You don't make the grade. You should be here to learn and help others. Other shit should come as a bonus and should not be expected.
Cheers brothers
