+ 8 Eroiders, get in where you fit in.
There has been a lot of discussion on what can be done to fix some of the issues we have on this site. Things like how to and when to give advice and who should or shouldn't receive it. What should or shouldn't be advised as a cycle choice. What is ok and not as far as compounds. What can be done to repair the karma system and how do we show our true level of experience etc. Some of these issues are being worked out now. The karma system will get a makeover soon. I have an idea on a first step in the right direction. That score under your name is nothing more than a popularity contest IMO. Most of the active members DONT carry the tag that fits them as far as real world experience and knowledge. Myself included. My tag should say Jedi master. ;-)
Anyway, I'm asking everyone who sees this post to leave a comment putting the appropriate number next to their name.
Just an unofficial poll. Im not keeping score and nobody is going to have to prove their claim. We want to get a basic idea of which group you identify yourself with. It would be nice to have some kind of demographic.
1)•Competitive bodybuilder (I eat, sleep and breathe bodybuilding)
2)• Non-competitive Bodybuilder (just enjoy lifting and watching progress)
3)•Endurance athlete (fighters included). Amateur of pro. Isn't relevant.
4)•Testosterone replacement therapy patient
5)•Power lifter/ strong man
6)•Average Joe getting in and staying in shape for overall health
7)•None of the above.....(please elaborate)
Again, this is nothing official. Just a little something to give a better idea of how everyone identifies themselves. Grazie
Of 181 participants, these are the results thus far. I think it paints a pretty accurate picture of the demographic.
1)•Competitive bodybuilder (I eat, sleep and breathe bodybuilding). 18
2)• Non-competitive Bodybuilder (just enjoy lifting and watching progress). 73
3)•Endurance athlete (fighters included). Amateur of pro. Isn't relevant. 12
4)•Testosterone replacement therapy patient. 22
5)•Power lifter/ strong man. 13
6)•Average Joe getting in and staying in shape for overall health.39
7)•None of the above.....(please elaborate). 4
I think this is right.

Looks like I fall under #2
I am a 5 .. who likes to look good ;-)
AnonYou do

Welcome to the club. And hey now! We can be strong as hell and still look good ;)
You got that right Fearless ;-) (ps .. I like your name, it is a good one)
you're a 10 in my book ;-)
you flatter me over much Greg .. now I am blushing ;-)
This is a good reminder to me of what my limitations are. As a bodybuilder I really have no idea of how an endurance athlete like a fighter would use steroids nor for that matter even a powerlifter. Knowing when to speak and when to keep one's mouth shut is important.
Edit. I just went into all that and way over did it. Mostly because I never get to talk about it. But it doesn't need to be here.
This is a helpful reminder that the person your talking to more than likely has slightly different goals to your own. So ask first

That's an interesting split.
approximately 50% BB - 50% non-BB
Agreed. I was hoping to see more athletes and powerlifters. (Athletics unrelated to BB and PL)

Ok, who wants to tally up the results?
Nose goes.
I am most likely a 6 in my opinion, i enjoy lifting weights and progress but i also like to enjoy the simpler things in life like a good meal in a nice restaurant.
Never want to compete, just want to be a 2 but still hold on to the concept of being a 6.
Great idea.

6 and then 2. Im not trying to become a body builder although I love to see results and want to stay fit.
I'm a #2. But, n all honesty. It wouldn't bother me a bit, if the whole karma system was wiped out. I think it takes a lot of time out of the mods days and causes a lot of unneeded drama. I've been here almost two years and if i need some advice. I know who to go ask for help. Experience wise. There are a lot of members here w advanced tags and so on. Just from pics . No forums or time really put into the community. We should all b equal, except for mods. W like u said above. Bb tag, strong man tag etc
I agree that multiple labels will be required to effectively implement such a system.
I'm definitely a 2 and 6.

This is my thought in the karma. The karma should be left alone as a popularity number under your name but have nothing to do with knowledge of aas. Instead add a second number which will be your experience number. Every year a member is active dish out 5 points. This will help reflect experience. Let other members add points and deduct points from karma as usual but put a set of rules out and the punishment. For example- fanboying will be a ban for 2 days and a deduction of one experience piont. This might hurt more then deducting a few pints from someone with 700 karma. If someone is a certified pro them slap them with 50 experience points right off the bat because it's prett safe to assume they have an advanced knowledge of aas. You want to reflect experience and knowledge with a number? This might be the best way.
I don't want to take away from your post, your points are valid but...
This post is a census, if you will, to get a snapshot of our demographic. Nothing to do with karma.
AnonThat's correct thank you
