Is it trash now ?

ad

What up
I recently found out that retatrutide should be kept in fridge even before reconstituted. Thought it should only be kept in the fridge after reconstituted. I think it stayed out of the fridge for about one month. According to you experience do you think I lost the vials or it is still good to go ?

Its still good, just use it even reconstituted it is still good I mean sources even ship it premixed I have used it and its been fine.

Brother, you probably lost some potency, yeah. Not necessarily trash, but I wouldn’t expect it to perform at 100% either. You can still try it, just don’t judge the compound based on that vial alone.

From what I’ve seen (and this lines up with most data), the “safe baseline” is pretty simple:

Lyophilized (powder) best kept fridge or freezer(I keep mines in freezer) if you want long-term stability

Reconstituted (liquid) always fridge, and use within a few weeks

At room temp, lyophilized peptides can survive for a while (weeks to months depending on the peptide), but degradation does start happening, especially with more complex ones like Retatrutide.

And yeah, you know right … before reconstitution they’re way more stable. After you add water, they become much more fragile (bacteria, degradation, etc.), so handling matters a lot more.

If it sat out for a month, I’d say:
Trash it or try it lol cause it’s
Not ideal
Probably degraded a bit or a lot (depending on room temp)
Still usable, but don’t expect much from
It.

I suggest you read Jano/Lobsters thread on another forum where peptides were tested in many different states (still powder, reconstituted, fridge, out in room temp). Zero statistical differences between them or any degradation. I think they were left for 6+ months

Lyophilized peptides are extremely resilient.

Yeah, Big… I’m with you on that, I’ve seen that thread, … solid info. Lyophilized peptides are definitely very stable in powder form, no doubt. I remember that story about Janoshik having GH stored for 9-10 years and it still tested fine … as long as it’s not reconstituted, they’re pretty resilient.

Where I see it differently isonce it’s mixed In solution, you’ve got more variables … hydrolysis, oxidation, potential contamination, temp swings… all that comes into play. It’s not like it degrades overnight, but there’s a gradual loss of stability and potency over time.

So yeah, I agree with the core point … they’re tough compounds. I just personally treat reconstituted peptides with a bit more care and try to use them within a reasonable window while keeping storage tight.

Just my take based on what I’ve read and how I handle mine.

Yeah, I meant fridge … typo on my end.

Just to clarify: lyophilized peptides I keep in the freezer at a stable temp for long-term storage. Once reconstituted, they go straight to the fridge to maintain stability and potency.

What's your protocol? Can you reconstitute right from the freezer? Or do you place in fridge for a couple days before reconstitution?

Pandateston's picture

Big bro…I keep it simple. I store the powder in the fridge … stable. When I’m ready to use it, I just reconstitute and keep it in the fridge after that.

No need to overcomplicate it. Simple and consistent works best.

Yeah buddy. No need to reinvent the wheel here. Fridge unless you stocked up for the apocalypse then unconstituted only in freezer is fine.

I’ve ran Reta a few times and didn’t realize it was optimal being stored in the fridge before reconstituting.

Honestly couldn’t tell a difference between the 2 month old room temp stored vial and fridge stored.

If you put it in a fridge before reconstitution it will become a solid block like any other peptide. It must be kept away from light and from hot places, so room temperature should be fine. I reconstitute peptides at room temperature, pin them, then instantly to to fridge, not in the back because it might crystalize

Mine stays in the closet for months before I move it to the fridge and have had zero issues.

Janoshik has talked about this before, powder degradation risk is wildly overblown just from a potency perspective. After a while its more so about it getting contaminated, than it not being potent anymore.
If you accept the risk of trying it, then the potency won't be a problem. Considering some powders take weeks to ship internationally and they are good to go I don't think you'll have any problems.

Correct. Way overblown

I saw a video where janoshik took GH and shook the living piss out of it after reconstituting it and said it does not damage it. It tested out just fine afterward.
