-2 fatty lump on shin- what is it?
ad
So, I've always had this little lump on my shin and written it off as being a subq fatty deposit? Regardless of body fat % it doesn't go away? As I've gotten old, i now see another one.
Anyone else have the "shin lump" or know what it is? Even better how to get it gone?

It is obviously infected. Amputate the leg above it. Hurry!
i need the leg for the cardio i never do. Oh. The shorter leg. I gotta keep that one.
Asymptomatic tibials anterior herniation. A tear in the fascia resulting from trama or stress. Common in athelets especially runners.
I noticed mine after running...
You took the words right out of my mouth ;-) Glad that you got it evaluated and that it is not serious.
Good answer. Thanks bro. I appricate the concern. I think its nothing and common, but good advice. It's not a skin growth. More like a fatty nodule that pokes out and can be pushed in. I seen it on others in the gym all the time.
I'm not sure if this reply was directed at me. Anyway - a few years ago i had a lump on my shoulder - didn't hurt unless i was carrying something that put pressure on it. Finally saw a Doc who cut it out - it was an enlarged sebaceous deposit (Lipoma)..so nothing serious..but I think you should get yours evaluated. No point in dying from something that is preventable.
It could be a Lipoma - benign fatty tumor or a Sarcoma - cancerous growth. Best to see a skin specialist to get a professional evaluation...both can be removed surgically. Personally - in these instances I subscribe to the tenet of: "If in doubt, cut it out."
GnarkillI have a small bump on my shin to mines kids hard but unless it grows I'm not worried about it
I had one as a kid now a few more nbd can't be anything bad
I've seen this on many other people. Hmmm
Herniated shin syndrome. Shin gyno. Jk. Seems common yet never figured out what or why
Testrogen_PropC...Lol shin gyno for sure bro. Idk I don't think ive even seen shin fat. My guess is it would be a vein like meddx mentioned
I don't think they will go away. I use to run a lot, and i believe running caused it. It could be genetic, but no one in my family has a shin lump. I think it's a vein.
