+ 19 Embarrassing pics but I’m looking for some advice

ad

Go easy on me. November 2025 (~240) to today (167) I’m 5’9. From fat fuck to less fat fuck. Right now I run test c 125 every 3 days and Cjc/ipa peptide stack .250 mg 5 on 2 off. Wolverine stack when I hurt myself. I can up those or change if I need to but right now I feel pretty good. I see mention of cialis, hgh, tren, and a lot of other things but I’m a 46 year old single dad to teenagers that still need me, some of it worries me a little (not that I’m not open to being told to shut up and take what works). I’ve done a ton of research but still just kind of cruise where I’m at. I don’t want to lose my hair, my chest is my biggest concern right now, and I’m looking to put on some size. I’m in the gym every day and work out with a buddy a couple times a week that is a coach at a different gym, so I know my workout is solid.

(I realize I did this kind of late in life)

I’m hoping there are some guys that have been where I’m at and can maybe point me in the right direction.

Edited for pics

Brother… first of all, there’s absolutely nothing embarrassing about this.

Going from 240 down to 167 at 46 years old while raising teenagers and still showing up consistently is something MOST people will never have the discipline to do.

That already tells me your mindset is in the right place.

And honestly? You’re approaching this way smarter than a lot of guys:
researching first
staying conservative
caring about health/longevity
thinking about your kids/future
not just blindly hopping on every compound people hype online

That mentality alone will probably keep you progressing for years.

Also don’t fall into the trap of thinking:
“I started too late.”

Bro… there are guys in their 20s already destroyed physically and mentally, and there are guys in their 40s and 50s building the best physiques of their lives because they finally developed consistency and discipline.

You already did the HARDEST part:
changing your lifestyle and losing that amount of weight.

Now it’s more about refining things slowly

building muscle patiently, staying healthy, keeping bloodwork in check, improving recovery, finding what YOUR body responds well to

And honestly, if hair/chest/health are concerns, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with keeping things relatively simple and bioidentical-focused for awhile instead of jumping straight into harsh compounds. (Love your hair? Your mood? Your peace of mind? Don’t make life gray too early, brother… stay away from Tren until you’ve got a lot more experience and mileage in the game)

Test, food, sleep, training consistency, recovery, maybe eventually adding small things strategically… you’d be surprised how far that alone can take you.

Respect Big bro. Keep it up !

Hell yeah bro and I'm sure your kids look at you differently now.
Your thinking correctly with risk vs reward, I feel like you're already on the right track. You've made amazing changes in a short time, shift your focus and your diet like others have said. Can other gear help? Of course but is it worth it for you? That's what you need to decide. I definitely wouldn't consider anything like Tren, ever, not worth it for you. Something lighter like npp or primo, sure but do you need it? You haven't tried to bulk yet, give it a go with what you're currently running, check back in 6 more months and show us your progress, I bet you'll be surprised.

Amazing weight loss achievement!
I started my gym and weight loss stuff after starting trt. Now 31 I’ve still got time on my hands though ofc.
You’re in for a whirlwind of feelings looking in the mirror.
Just be happy with what you’ve achieved and if you feel the mirror shows no changes you should do body measurements as those don’t lie!

As for your chest, what is it the issue is?
Personally for my chest to grow I needed to really warm the pecs up before going heavy otherwise I’d injure myself snd they wouldn’t grow.

Also started cjc snd ipa recently and love these as an sddition to 200mg test 100 primo Smile

Keep up the consistency brother.

Sick work brother.
We have almost identical stats so I cant relate a little with you I went from 255 to 170 at 5'8 34 y/o I did PPL/PPL for all the time I just recently switched to PPL/UL so far im liking it alit and seeing great results i think cause the bit of extra recover. I have done some cycles a bit higher but my favorite so far and by no means am I a seasoned vet of this stuff or anything but I liked pushing test and with a little primo for e2 control 750 test 200 primo I had added npp and and I got way stronger and made some crazy progress but I cut the npp a little early cause some anxiety issues but everyone different. Ive tried some other stuff but so far pushing test has been my favorite. Also idk but im pretty sure if you have your hair at 46 you dont have to worry about balding. It worried me as well but actually my hair got better cause I started just taking care if myself more. Test is best then sprinkle in some fun stuff but you'll have to test out what works well with you. Oh and hgh is good and solid

Petecastiglione's picture

There’s literally nothing embarrassing here. You’ve made huge changes. Bring up that confidence. I’m talking walking into the room like your dick is 12inches energy. Look how far you’ve come. Idk what advice you’re specifically looking for though, I’d swap those to just gh. More affordable, more benefits for someone in 40’s. Reta would be an excellent addition. Also, don’t underestimate the benefits of your fat loss in relation to muscle gain. Having a leaner state drastically improves insulin sensitivity and a myriad of diff other mechanisms that will make your growth process a whole lot cleaner.

Thank you. I do feel a lot better about myself but I want more.
As far as advice I guess I’m really just looking to see if I can add or change anything in a reasonable way for a regular guy. I’ve been considering upping the test, I’ve only got one nut and I’m still well under 1000 total. Your suggestion of gh is a good one and one I’ve been rolling around a lot lately. I’ll look more into what might be a good protocol for me. I appreciate it.

Saw you’re confused as to what and how much to eat

This is my fav website for a TDEE calculator. Remember though this isn’t perfect, this is a great starting point. Start with those calories, build your macros (4 cals = 1g of protein and carbs. 9 cals = 1g of fat)

From there eat to the diet perfectly. Pick a day to weigh yourself let’s say, Monday morning. Pee first every time and wear the same clothes or none at all. Be consistent. Track the weight gain. Shoot for 1lb a week. Even .75 is fine. In a growth. More isn’t better. If you do a 16 week growth phase at .75lb a week you’ll grow 12lbs and that’ll be muscle and stay leaner.

You basically just did a body recomp. Hone in on what you need to do to fill out your shoulders and back; Bench Press, Lat Pull Downs, Pull Ups and dumbbells. Do some pendulum squats and dead lifts and it’ll help with filling out what you developed as the base. Should be proud of that.

My shoulders suck. Years of pitching and a nasty motorcycle accident, but I’m finding ways to get that work in without damaging them more. Being old is a bitch

BPC157 and correct workout, don’t ever over do it and get these areas slowly back. I tore right ligament in right shoulder from being QB and pitching. BMX bikes and skateboarding destroyed my knees, wrists, and ankles. Dozens of dislocations, sprains, broken bones all over. Shoulder dislocations. Growing disorders in my joints, list goes on. Considering and implementing strategies for Longevity, that’s the key. Actually, Conservation Henry, managing resources, that is the key to baseball. According to Brigma.

I just wanted to say we all gotta start from somewhere. You look fantastic. Keep it up! Read pretty much every comment on here and everyone solid advice.

smurfdude1234567's picture

Don’t be embarrassed brother. The first steps have been taken and you are well on your way. My advice is don’t even look at anything like tren. You can make an enormous amount of progress from the point you are at without anything like that. Stick with test. Keep bloods in check. Get down to a body fat where you can focus on building muscle and learn that whole process with what works for you before anything else.

Once eating/exercising you will be astonished at the differences you see when losing fat vs. building muscle. Don’t go for a shortcut- they often don’t work, and if they do there is no free lunch.

OscarWildwood's picture

Awesome transformation dude! The hard work really shows!

What does your most recent bloodwork look like at this dosage? When you say your biggest concern is your chest does that mean that’s the muscle group you’d like to grow more?

Test is 690, free is 14, and e2 is 26. That’s last month. For the rest I’ll have to look when I get home. I had it ran again this morning so I should have fresh results soon.

Huge progress man. Looks like you have gotten pretty damn lean. I take it you're still eating in a deficit or near deficit?

After coming off that hard of a cut, reintroducing calories is what is going to signal to your body to begin to grow. As long as you are eating right, sleeping enough and training right, you will grow.

You look very depleted in your current pics. No glycogen retention, not much water weight. It's pretty obvious that you aren't eating to grow.

Turtleheadjoe's picture

I try to get 200mg of protein a day and mostly just stick to meals. I’m terrified of putting the wrong weight back on but I have been increasing my caloric intake weekly, right now I shoot for about 2500 a day and I do my best to make them good calories. I’m kind of going off of what my primary care is telling me diet wise, but I don’t think his goals are the same as mine. I’ll see what I can do to get more fuel in me

Dude.. if you are eating whole foods, you really don't need to count calories. I know that is taboo in lifting culture, but us average dudes dont really need to.

Eat whole foods... lean meats (steak, chicken, fish.. skip pork), veggies (peppers, broccoli, asparagus, etc), and non-processed carbs (rice, potatoes).

The one problem that i run into is getting enough protein when eating healthy, 200 calories of broccoli is actually a shit ton of food and will keep you full for half a day. You gotta supplement with protein shakes or you wont get enough protein.

The second problem is healthy food is significantly more expensive.... It makes zero sense. The fucking govt should stop subsidizing processed foods companies, and subsidize healthy food companies. Ie) stop paying farmers to grow corn makes zero sense.
