+ 1 Whats the best stack for kidney health?

ad

Ive been using astragalus root extract in pretty high doses and im on 40mg daily telmisartan currently.
My pee gets foamy but I feel like its always been like that, some video fear mongering about it got me tweaked out. My last bloods showed normal kidney function spare for creatinine but that ones usually off in an athlete anyways is it not? It wasn't super out of range either.
Anyways, just wondering what's most effective for loving my kidneys.

What’s your urine taste like? That’s usually where I start.

How’s your BP? Are you monitoring it regularly? High bp is an easy way to ruin your kidneys. They don’t really heal either. What was your eGFR and was it calculated based on creatinine or Cystatin-C? Some labs will say over 59 is normal but really 60-90 is early stage kidney disease an over 90 is healthy. But for most of us creatinine based calculation isn’t very accurate.

Might wanna lower your protein intake if it's too high. Some people wanna try to get 2g per 1lb body weight, that's just too much protein for your body to handle. But as far as things to help clean kidneys. Get the pure canberry juice and water it out as you drink it. The pure cranberry juice will clean kidneys a little.

Sounds like your kidneys is leaking protein = foamy urine aka proteinura.

You got to go get it checked and tested.

I suffer from it and now i have to watch my protein intake and take bp meds to help control it but you will need to do bloods panels etc.

Stay hydrated! Lots of water, keep your blood pressure in check. No ibuprofen

This https://www.goldenstandards.com/ and astraguls.

Started having the same problem and stopped the ace it has slowly went away if you sit down to be you can more than likely rule out if it's the way you're pissing imo.

The golden standards bostyin Loyd swore by and he wasn't affiliated in any type of way he said in one of his videos that's it was the only supplement that brought his numbers down.

Is this foam just your first morning piss? Like when you drink a bunch of water and are hydrated is it still foamy? Some gear can make your piss a little foamy as well. If the blood work is good then I would not worry but you could also order a urine test that would look to see if there is protein in your piss.

To be honest when people say foamy pee I really don't know what that means. I mean I get some bubbles all the time. But I assume its cause I am blasting my moisture missle into the toilet and the force of the beam is just causing bubbles to form. Kind of like farting in a pool. I mean does it foam and stay there like the head on a beer or what?

press1's picture

Its the same as when you blast water into a bowl of washing up liquid and the bubbles build on top of each other - then stay there built up for a few minutes. Normal bubbling morning piss dissipates straight away and the bubbles burst, these don't. Its due to excess albumin hitting the water from getting through the kidneys, often resulting in a low Blood albumin level too in bloods. You have to go to the Docs to do a piss test into a sample tube, then they measure the concentration to determine if there is a problem or not.

Hmm a bit like the foam on a beer but less dense? Its more sometimes than others

What is your eGFR reading? If you avoid the question again then I won't give any more input on this LMAO

Scrawny-to-not's picture

Id have to find my paperwork, which is in a box in storage atm sorry lol I should go get tests run again soon last ones were 14 weeks ago before I ran tren ace for 12

press1's picture

If you have foamy piss mate - STAY AWAY from trenbolone because it will make things worse guaranteed. Its the No.1 kidney killer of all steroids, followed closely by Superdrol.

Scrawny-to-not's picture

The kidneys can have a little tren, as a treat. Lol.
Yeah I just never thought too much about it honestly, I didnt know the foamy pee was a thing and I cant remember not having foamy piss - like going back a decade before I touched gear.
I will get some testing done in a few weeks after the holidays and then we will know for sure.

Your body is metabolizing & filtering toxins. That's going to be a result. Also, the older you get, the less efficient your body will be.

You didn't happen to get your cystatin-c checked did you? Usually have to request it. That would be better than eGFR

press1's picture

The reason I'm asking for his eGFR is to see whether he is near or below 60 or not, basically kidney disease territory. Whether someone trains or not or is heavily muscled - he shouldn't be anywhere near that.

TheIcon's picture

I agree its a nice little guide to make you ask more questions but if he has the cystatin-c test then Id ignore the eGFR. But if he doesn't and like you said his EGFR is somethign outlandish then it def will make you dig deeper. But I think below he said it was normal range

My last eGFR was 58, 52, and 49 after my NPP/DHB cycle. My creatinine was also up. I also did leg day before bloodwork and was dehydrated most likely. But my cystatin-c is perfectly fine.

press1's picture

Interesting to hear mate, the problem is with this member though is we don't really know how bad his foamy piss really is or what he thinks is fine with his eGFR reading. I guess he will investigate if he thinks its bad enough.

Scrawny-to-not's picture

Noted I will request that

Do you drink energy drinks? There are infinite amounts of liver/kidney supps. However, none of it will do anything if you don’t flush your system with adequate water intake.

Scrawny-to-not's picture

Nope no energy drinks, 1 cup of coffee a day. I drink a gallon plus of water a day depending on the season.

Wildling's picture

I wouldn't sweat it then. Unless you are pounding orals non stop with alcohol, you are just adding more stress than you need lol. My urine is nasty in the morning & clears up later in the day on 25mg dbol. Its just part of the game. NAC is king imo. Many of these other supps are voodoo. I'm trying something new at the moment, chianca piedra.

Whats your eGFR reading in your Bloodwork mate?

Foaming urine is normally a sign of protein getting through the filters in the kidneys from the blood - this is usually brought on by high blood pressure and Toxic compounds such as trenbolone over time. It can just be a temporary thing which will revert when you come off the toxic compounds and bring your BP down OR it can become permanent which is what you DON'T want as its one of the first signs of lowered kidney function and possible kidney disease based on what level of eGFR you still have. What worries me is if this is still happening even though you have taken BP meds and got BP under control. Most people will have some form of foaming first thing in the morning as urine is more concentrated after sleeping and fasting during the night, but if it is still happening during the day once you are fully hydrated then you may need to get it looked at.

Scrawny-to-not's picture

Egfr was good last draw, and ive had foamy pee since forever I dont remember a time when I didnt, long before ped's for some reason. It is more pronounced first in the morning!

Wildling's picture

Urine is going to be most concentrated in the morning as you aren’t hydrated while you sleep.

Cystatin-C would be a better marker to look at rather than creatinine and Estimated GFR.
