Anyone else see President Trumps Re-Open America plan?
It seems states (here in the U.S) will have discretion to re-open after showing two weeks of decreased new cases. He’s proposing a three phase system that allows for gradual re-openings and guess what?
Gyms are totally in phase 1!

Just a local up-date - things not going too well here for Gold's Gym - they filled for Chater 11 bankruptcy on Monday.
One month gyms to re-open here.
Calling it stage two on relaxing restrictions.
Alot of gyms wont survive and ive already heard that a few of the privately owned anytime fitness franchises are bust and wont be opening back up.
Don't rush into the gym when it opens, mate. Maybe hold off for a week or two - better to be safe than sorry..

Yeah, not only GB, but most of the world. Oz has got a good handle on it and so has NZ, they are even talking about 'travel bubble' - where people can travel between both countries, since infection rates are close to zero in both countries. I feel sorry for you guys and the Americans...tragic. Here in the Phils, it just keeps climbing because the general populace are very ignorant, and the vast majority live in poverty...sad, but true. Just today I went out in my Barangay (suburb) to see almost no-one wearing face masks - it was business as usual...if the CV gets a stronghold here, the West will look like a walk in the park when it comes to death rates. Stay safe there, mate.
Gyms in my corner of the world were allowed to start reopening today but all of the ones in my locality took a pass. I personally don't blame them. I think it's a little soon for our area based on the avaliable data. I do miss lifting though.

Update from oz today- pubs, restaraunts and cafes to open in july.
No bar service only seated table waiting.
No live music no gaming.
Social distancing of every second table.
Still 1.5 metres from strangers.
Community sports start from next week.
Salons and beauty therapists/ massage/ nails etc next week with strict hygeine and distancing.
Allowed to visit families and have birthday parties etc, funerals without the 10 person limit.
No word on gyms but were hoping it might fall under " community sports".
I just hope they keep the domestic borders shut aswell as international or i believe its all a waste and will spread
One state today /nt had 25 days straight of nothing the today out of no where 2 brand new cases.... that says someone hopped the state lines the selfish fucking cunts.
This really is one of those situations where us alone as individuals to make a difference and need to be responsible.

Been in isolation over a month now.
Grocery stores are open and thats it for essentials only.
Ya dont wanna get pulled up out and about by cops if your not going to dr or for grocery shop.
I personally agree with it all because i just want it to pass.
Ill suffer for another year of it means we can all go back to normal.
Even with the gyms if they do reopen next week ill be waiting and extra fortnight just watching.
Im not going to be responsible for catching it and possibly killing others for the gym.

Thanks for the update, mate. Things pretty much still in lock down here. Only one person can leave the house at a time and you have to have a Barangay Clearance Certificate (a Barangay is basically a suburb).
There are police check points stopping people and checking to see if they have a BCC. No BCC - they send you home. Don't go - they arrest you. Also the supermarkets wont let you in without a BCC.
Technically, I'm not allowed to leave the house as I'm over 60 - but I do very occassionally.
I also agree with you - it's all necessary until there is a vaccine. Stay safe there, mate.

With all the cameras and surveillance these days its hard for them to even try to have an old fashion underground type rave party. Seen in the news them getting busted for it. Stick out too much.
I think they will be down for a while...Man I miss the old days when clubs had nitrous ballons everywhere and all the other fun stuff & no cell phones recording everything killing the vibe. Now clubs are like concerts.. Sucks
Haven't been to a club since they shutdown the big NYC clubs. Back then the dudes were jacked and the chicks hot and almost naked. Things were crazy and fun back then.
My buddy still goes out once and a while. He said the vibe is horrible.
I don't understand going there and standing around with your phone out video everything.
That would make me uncomfortable and paranoid.

My gf works for a dentist office that have hundreds all over the country. She makes appointments. They just opened up around 300 offices all over the US that were recently close because of corona.

Last week they opened up again.
They have been open but only for urgent or emergency dental but they are open again.
Basically stricter hygeine.

All they will do here is speak to you on the phone but no face to face work - I thought it was just because they can't get hold of good enough PPE gear but its actually because of the techniques they use to repair teeth etc. Main being the aerosol gun which they use to blow debris away when drilling - it blows saliva molecules all around the room which has the potential to infect everyone in there if you have the virus!

Yeh it was only once they actually put me through to speak to a dentist that he explained that was the main reason why they had to stop seeing people and shut practices. It made it a lot more understandable than just the fact the PPE wasn't quite adequate enough. Problem is though is it makes me think they will be the last in line to open fully, similar to gyms - Both are highly contagious breeding grounds for the virus.

Gyms really are taking it very hard quite quickly aren't they. I use to be envious of a few local guys who had opened their own places in my area over the last few years but who could have predicted all this right now - they must be absolutely tearing their hair out every single night. Then you have the other end of the scale such as the Supplement & Equipment companies who have never seen better times! Yet still involved in the same industry .....
A friend of mine two years ago built one of the nicest gyms in our entire state. This is killing him. I am not convinced the gym is going to survive. I know they all got their hopes way to high that they would be in phase one but other than an idiot state like Georgia there is no way.

Yep - I had a few dollars worth of shares in an entertainment conglomerate in Oz and they sank like a stone duck. I just now offloaded them at a 50% loss.

The city where I live has gone into total lock-down. You now need a gov issued pass to leave home, only one person (one pass per household and if you are over 60 - no go) at a time and only to go to grocery stores and pharmacies. That's all that open, oh - and fuel stations....God knows when I will ever see a gym again (insert sad moaning sound...)
