-1 2 broken legs, need advice.

ad

I’ve done my best to stay fit and always been in shape or healthy. I’ve ran basic cycles in the past and have always kept them simple. I usually travel a few times a year and this time I ran into some trouble. I was almost abducted and killed but managed to escape. I now have two broken legs that are non weight barring for a few more weeks and a finger that has a plate and screws in it. To say the least this has been a serious challenge both mentally and physically. I have been working my upper body 4+ times a day and my quads so I can try and keep a little muscle and not go insane. I had 3 surgeries in 3 days the first of January. Both legs have screws and rods and shit. I’ve done some research and some studies show that giving mice or rats with broken bones testosterone recover faster than without. I was thinking about running a test e 500mg a week for 12 weeks. I have about 2 weeks until I can put weight on my left leg and maybe another week for my right. Any advice would be much appreciated. I’m ready to get my life back and health.

I hate to hear that brother, but I have huge respect for you and your ability to focus on the future instead of dwelling on the past.

I'm not a doctor, and I am not going to try to sound like one, but here is my advice from past personal experience. I suffered a horrible collarbone injury about 10 years ago and was in a rush to recover, so I skipped having in surgically reset. Now my left shoulder is permanently misaligned, I have chronic shoulder pain, my left pecs is always going to be smaller than the right because I can't fully activate it.... Nothing life threatening, but it is a real bitch and in hindsight I wish that I wouldn't have rushed the recovery process.

With that being said, talk to your doctors and make sure that the broken bones are set properly before rushing to heal them. The last thing you need or want is for them to heal improperly or have bones start fusing around plates or screws that weren't meant to be permanent. My father has "temporary" rods permanently set in his fingers where the bones fused around them after a "first hand" (pun intended) run in with an active cutting deck under his lawnmower.

In short, talk to your doctors and make sure that they don't need to reset anything or are waiting on natural shifting or settling of the bones. Don't want to permanently fuse them in the wrong place!

All the best to you. Please keep us posted on your progress.

I’m trying to do everything in my power to heal properly and usually trust doctors. I think I need a second opinion because my doctor told me Wednesday that diet has nothing to do with healing and my health at the moment. I was also recently dropped and denied healthcare so that’s a new battle I’ll be facing. The docs and therapist really seem to do the minimum for me due to no insurance so it’s a little frustrating but I’m working thru it. Thanks for the advice. I’ll keep updating. I have a lot of hardware in my legs now and the bones are starting to heal up so that’s good news.

I’m running test and npp recovering from a fusion. Doctors say I’m ahead of everyone else...once I get more X-rays we will see what effect it really has besides with recovery.

THanks man! My bones are healing up really well. My diet has been really clean and I’m still getting some good upper body workouts in and doing leg extensions with my huge boots on. I finally was cleared for weight barring on my left leg yesterday and stood up on crutches. It was insane standing after sitting for that long. I can start swimming and will have my right leg back on the 21st. Finally feeling like I might have a life again. Mentally this has been a challenge but it will only make me stronger in many ways.

Hello Sir,

Sorry to hear this, I am sure you will recover after all this and will become even stronger person, accidents can happen to anyone.
You probably would like us to say that it's a great idea to implement AAS in your recovery program however I would strictly advice to stick to doctors recommendations considering you just gone through few surgeries. If hormones were needed to speed up a recovery, doc would have probably prescribed you something by now, don't think self medicating is a good idea in your case.
Well done for still working out and don't worry about losing your muscles as I am pretty sure you will get everything back quick once your body is recovered and had all this rest.
Hope this helps

Regards

Green cruciferous vegetables 5 times a day with protein and leucine to ensure a leucine hit every 3 hours from waking and up to/including pre-bed.
Overload with vitamin c powder... min 1500 per dose a few times a day.
Eat lots of healthy fats via fish and things like avacados etc.... drops inflammation

Heals bones faster than anything you will stick in your ass.

Check into it, speeding bone healing is well documented. Get inflammation down (healthy fats and the greens), get rid of free radicals/oxidants (vit c) and enough protein /aminos for serious protein balance/synthesis and to big time bump growth factors.

So I have gotten my diet pretty locked in and I’m feeling amazing. I took your advice on a bunch of things. I’ve been making smoothies 3-4 times a day with berries, turmeric/ginger root, losts of spinach and greens, bananas, protein, and bcaa’s I also add flax/chia seed and these really seem to help my overall mood. Ive been doing mostly high protein meals and even made my own trail mix. I went to the doctor Wednesday and he said “diet has nothing to do with healing in my case because I was already healthy” I don’t like him very much. But my legs are healing up very well and I should be able to start weight barring on the left on the 27th of this month and my right the 20th of March. Thanks for the advice man.

giardap's picture

Thats brilliant. Nice modifications there too, ive noted them for myself!

Tell that doc to Google the following:
osteoblast AND broccoli AND (sulforaphane OR SFN)

Neutraceutical science is in the rise, thankfully!!!

Keep it up man. Id love to hear how you get on once you start putting some weight on. Very best wishes for the 27 Feb and 20 March, you will do great man.

Haha my doctor avoids me now because I think he’s scared of getting beat up by a guy In a wheelchair. It blew my mind when he said that shit. I’m going to email his staff some research on the benefits of diet and health. I stood on my left leg yesterday with no pain, only loss of blood flow to my head from being seated for two months. My physical therapist told me that this will be a speedy recovery due to my health and diet. He said he was surprised I was still in decent shape after two months of being in a wheelchair. My legs definitely lost some muscle but I’ll work harder than ever in the coming months. Mentally I am stronger and had time to come to terms with things I hadn’t, I was offered benzo’s and more pain killers but denied them. I have been off everything for over a month and embraced feelings and emotions I’ve ran from. Life is a wild ride.

Could please mention where you were "almost abducted" so I may avoid that area like a fat man avoids the treadmill.

I would also lay off that idea. Rest, relax, work on healthy diet to maximize healing while minimizing potential fat gain due to reduced activity levels.

A great time to get a healthy diet going. So you dont gain
Much unhealthy weight

Keepmovingforward's picture

I’ve been working on that more than anything. Very few carbs in the morning and a lot of protein and veggies. My upper body is staying pretty solid. My legs are depressing. Diet is definitely key right now.

You can't say you were almost abducted and killed and not elaborate, what happened?

I went to Mexico wth a friend who is from Australia and wanted to renew her visitor visa for the states. She Went to bed and I went out with some new friends. Well I haven’t been drinking for months because me and alcohol don’t do well. I ordered a coke and got drugged. The bar had me singled out so I went outside to try and get my head right and decided to get a taxi to go back to the hotel. Well the taxi driver also New I was drugged so he drove around until I finally told him to let me out. I got out and started walking and another car pulled up and three men tried loading me up. They emptied my pockets and lifted me up like a log. Well my adrenaline kicked in because I know if I got in that car I was dead. I dropped the heaviest, hardest elbow I could on one man and he folded and dropped my upper body and I stood up and punched the guy who had my legs as hard as I could in his mouth until he fell and the third guy was clearing room for me in the car. At this point I decided running was a good idea. Still drugged I ran and laid in a field for a while and tried to gather my thoughts. I figured they had taken everything they wanted and probably were gone. As soon as I stood up they pulled up and I had to Forrest Gump run again. I asked for help from strangers and nobody would help probably thought I was homeless or caught up with the cartel. Someone told me the directions for the hotel and I thought I could make it. I started running and again they pulled up and chased. I ran down an ally and there was a roof not much taller than me so I jumped on it. They were getting up when I saw a police car coming so I jumped off the other side and it was much higher. Hit the ground and busted my legs. The cop pulled up and tried taking me to jail because I couldn’t pay them anything. I finally got to the boarder and got an ambulance. I’ve been to a lot of countries and have been ok but Mexico is having a hard time and people will kill you for a 100$. I’m glad I’m alive and will walk again one day. I’ll be 30 next month and I really just want my health back and to appreciate life as much as I can.

Incredible story - in the true sense of the word.

HomebrewedII's picture

That's one helluva story.. Never did mention how you broke both legs though... O.o

herpjunkie111's picture

Shit..... Forget Mexico then.

Keepmovingforward's picture

2017 was the deadliest year on record for them and I’m sure that’s not every record. Weed going legal in California really pissed the cartel off and trump has slowed down their imports into the states. It’s a dog eat dog world down there.

herpjunkie111's picture

Good to know, I won't be going there, sounds about as safe as the middle east.

Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Thanks man. I guess I should wait until I’m cleared from the dock and maybe put an order in so I have it when the time is right. In my head I just think a simple test e cycle would maybe help me mentally and my muscles come back a little easier. I’m pretty nervous about learning to walk again and how much I’ve lost from not using my legs. It’s been a depressing year so far.

Keepmovingforward's picture

After taking a few years away from eroids and now reading all the advice you guys give people that gets ignored, thanks for taking a minute to write. A little update My upper body is staying strong and my diet has improved my morale and helped me from getting too depressed. I’m excited for the future and to get my health back. Thanks man.

Thanks man. Life is a gamble. I’ve taken chances and been ok but this has definitely been an emotionally draining time. I’ve cut out all pain meds and I am embracing it. I guess it’s a good time to work on my emotions and come to terms with everything.
