Postal investigations investigated

ad

I was watching the news yesterday before work. The news in my area has a interest in steroids because of a bust that happened and being that they don't get things that big there still doing stories on it. The story they did was an investigation into the postal general inspector and hsi and customs.

They were told that every day an estimated 1 million packages of mail come through customs. Then they said that they have been only scanning the mail for 15yrs that surprised me because before 9/11 you could have shipped anything and as long as it wasn't suspicious enough to search by hand it got through.

So 1 million or more packages come through and even though they have been scanning for 15yrs they only scan 35,000 packages out of a million.
I thought that was just a big difference in how much just slides through. I know that we don't want our pacs messed with and those numbers are heavily in our favor. It also worries me though what else could be just sliding through. They also said that they would never be able to scan everything that it would back up our economy if they did. All about the money!!

So basically if you get a love letter damn that is some really bad luck. The numbers are in our favor and I hope that they stay that way.

I do want to bring up that bill Clinton did sign a law saying that Americans can get a 3 month supply of there medication from overseas if it saves them money. I don't know if this has ever been overturned but im a strong believer that if I can get my medication from overseas for a yr at the cost it takes me to get it for 1 month in the states i should definitely be able to get my medication from where I want but thats the power of big pharma.

Just wanted to share some numbers i heard and a few thoughts thanks brothers.

Something a lot of people dont realize is that each piece of mail that gets sent in the US is photographed, this records the sender and reciever, time of shipment, zip code the package entered the system, etc. This program was enacted because of the anthrax scare after 9/11. It wont catch bad stuff happening in the act, but if bad stuff is found out later it can be traced during the investigation. I hope a lot of the sellers are tracking this.

Do you got a link to the documentary? Im a news junky lol.

I posted this on another thread - When in Oz I had two packages seized and got the standard letter. For my next orders I told the suppliers to send them normal airmail - not courier/express. I believe that all customs departments focus on the couriered/express parcels for two reasons: 1: There are less of them to sort through than normal airmail and, 2: they work on the premise that if it's valuable, it's sent by courier/express mail. Customs will do random searches of normal airmail just to show that they are ever vigilant - however the sheer volume means that you have a very good chance of receiving your package.

Only ever had 1 pack "inbound to customs," from all of my international orders, and it was my inhalers. Lol The gear always sails right through.

Thats bs. There is no machines reading addreses, i dont even believe addreses get flagged. How would a machine read it? What if its upside down? What if its in cursive? Think about it mate.

I think that machine just sorts adresses by reading post codes, not actual street adresses etc. 35,000 an hour.

They sort them by address,...........and the speed they do it at is,..........well,.............blinding.

I if it (the machine)can't read an address, then your mail is delayed as a postie has coffee before looking at it.

I was wondering about that whole address being flagged thing. REDACTED

Way to much info,...... In less than 4-5 months you have ordered/had shipped 7-10 packages to your address. Now the postal inspector can pull up a list of all the people that have received 3 letters in the last 5 months that contained steroids. Your name will be there............

Please read Greg's posting " SHUT the HELL UP".

Thanks for the concern haha but I'm sure they couldnt give a shit. There's bigger fish to fry

KMC's picture

Bigger fish that would take more effort,...........but if you gift wrap yourself for them, why would they refuse ?

They would get paid the same amount from the federal government whether your a drug kingpin or a gymrat user, it is all in the head count.
