I never said money makes you educated or intelligent. You called the man dumb. I simply said that's ridiculous. Then I asked how our culture is set up to think. You're supposed to go to school. Get good grades. Get a degree. Get a good paying job. Spend the best years of your life working then retire. Just because I don't think that is the best way or even a good way doesn't make my opinion any more or less relevant. But, I didn't call the man dumb. So I'll break it down simply as possible so I don't confuse my points. Knowing that he followed the guidelines laid out in front of him, he saw school as less important and second to his training, that just tells me he shifted his focus. Not that he's dumb. The fact that he can't read all that well is kind of baffling ,but again , he focused the energy of his intellect into his craft. And that doesn't make him dumb.
Now, the fact that our society is centered around capitalism , and this guy is the ultimate cash cow (self made) I would say that makes him ahead of the curve and pretty fucking sharp when you take all things into account. Obviously I didn't stay anything like what you're talking about. And I have to say, if you think that being intelligent and unsuccessful and two things that exist together very often , your view of how the world works may be distorted. Everyone likes to believe that they're sharp. Everyone likes to believe in this or that. But ppl who are self made through work and dedication in this culture cannot be dumb! It isn't possible. And to say so is just another form of hating on em. I. Was just trying to show you a slightly different perspective. Don't put too much stock in what I say. I'm pretty dumb too
That is a very good point. The guy sacrifice a bit of bookwork for a legacy that will likely last his family for generations to come.. Sounds like he made the right call to me.
I'd love to see Manny win, but I don't see it. Mayweather is just too good for an aging paquio
X2 I believe is going to be an interesting fight , but.... I don't think Mayweather is going to risk his undefeated career that is worth more than all the millions he got, so I think the fight will be interesting but most likely fixed...... I could be wrong and paquiao gives a surprise.

Yes he is good, but so gar hasn't been tested by a hard puncher, I would like to see him against ,Canela or a healthy Cotto, but still that kid is a monster, I imagine his punches like getting kicked by a horse
AnonWhether Mayweather ducked Pack-man 4-5 years ago we have to understand Mayweather fights for Mayweather and Pack-man doesn't fight independently. 4years ago Mayweather knew the money for them fighting wasn't enough and now it is. I believe it wasn't a question of whether Packman was more in his prime and hadn't been knocked out yet then but Mayweather knew the money wasn't enough for him. I'm looking for round 9 or it will go the length in favor of Mayweather.

Nitti and I had a conversation last year concerning the best matches and fighters in our time, this was the match that I would have liked to see, especially when both guys where in prime. I'd like to see mayweather dropped as well. I'll probably watch the fight after its over not gonna pay that price for it. May weather even claims he is better than Ali which is crazy. I can't call who is going to win this fight.. honestly, the first thing that goes on a man is his speed and reflex ability and both guys are know for both but Manny is also know for power which could be a huge determining factor. I can see pac takin' the fight to a decesion, especially b.c pac has the conditioning to take it the distance, and floyd hasnt knocked anyone out in a long time. I think its been about 4yrs and it was a controversial k.o. floyd says his inside game is tight and hes gonna be working from inside most of the fight, should be interesting if he does.
The only way Floyd loses this fight is if he throws the fight for a rematch and a bigger payday.
I don't think he'll do that, his ego is too big. Mayweather wins easily in a decision. PacMan won't be able to touch him.
I think Mayweather will win by decision. I would love to see pacquio knock him out though.
They're both old and out of their prime so who knows.
