Steroids in sport....

Watched a few sporting events over the weekend combined with extended periods of Eroids surfing Biggrin and it got me asking myself once again, what would it be like if steroids were no longer illegal (or at least controlled in a way relative to the substance)

Specifically what the impact on modern sport would be? Pros and cons? Hell , what do you guys/girls even make of it the way it is now? I can't help thinking certain sports would highly benefit from having the barriers completely removed and their limits really pushed. Then in the same breath I could see potential dangers in other sports.

Obviously a huge number of athletes already use in one way or another from cycling to baseball and it goes without saying Pro Bodybuilding almost excludes itself from the conversation entirely.

I understand the issue is far more complex and deeper than my tiny mind can even comprehend but all opinions, bro talk, experience and thoughts are welcome here and I want to hear em'

Preface: i think they all should be legal and not controlled by anyone but the adult putting it there body.

It will be shocking to see how many are on hgh in pro football when they start testing. It will suck actually. Heros to children will be destroyed.
I think if it was legal to get after a certain age so kids couldnt screw themselves up(take the million dollar gamble out of there hands). The gamble being the kids 18 to 22 and he has tremendous talent for his game, now if he takes PEDs then he has a chance at a huge contract and a great life, but his body will be fucked in his 30's and he might not make it to 50...if aas is legal it puts some safety valves in to that equation that make the aas alot safer because he can take the AI and such that is easier to detect (hcg)these days in drug tests than just TNE and hgh or some combo of peptides that are much harder to detect...
Plus i think college player should be paid so im biased...
Ultimately it would level the playing field in all sports but the mistique would be lost that there is a natural phenom out there that is better than everyone else.
Disclaimer being most of these if not all of these athletes have talent and ability no amount of AAS will change someone in to a hall of famer in any sport if they are not talented and driven. The needle only enhances whats already there.. It doesnt create a player.
My opinion only.

For those who like Soccer(Football) the world best player Lionel Messi has a rare condition which limits his body to produce HGH and it was told his squeletal and organs where not going to develop unless he was treated, therefore he has been administered with growth hormone every since he was a teenager and in my opinion it has some to do with how skillfull this dude is. So my conclusion is that if you have a doctor telling you that you need it i guess it makes it right. Double standard IMO.

From what I understand Barcelona paid for his GH treatment as part of the contract deal. I have also seen statements in the past claiming he only received the treatment for 4years, a story I'm sure his people would be keen to stick to. Certainly an interesting point. Perhaps in the near future we might see a sudden balloon in statistics of young footballers with the same hormone disorder Biggrin

Same thing with Tiger Woods and the PGA. The money machine must always keep turning for these people behind the superstar sportsmen.
