+ 1 Do u belive It's nessasary to "clear receptors"
ad
I've seen many forums on this and always see forums that just simply state how it is and what they belive. But I wanted to make this to hear your guys opinions on weather it's a myth or true. So, do u belive when u cruise on a steroid that your receptors are full and die so therefore u don't get an effect that u could have got from cycling?
Or do u belive that it's all nonsense and that u actually create more receptors and u cruise?
I have seen many great arguments on this topic and would just like to hear your guy opinion on this subject. Please leave your opinion and your reason behind it.

I'm with fin (for the laymen)
On the most basic level we are all taking "drugs" and as MANY an eroids member can attest to when you introduce any drug to the system a tolerence is built over time then - in the immortal words of Axl Rose "I used to do a little but a little wouldn't do it so a little got more and more..."
IME I cleared receptors after a 2 year run of blast and cruise... YES coming OFF sucked... YES coming back to pristine receptors was very noticable so now I have introduced a sort of "spring cleaning" about every 18months
I always think its a good idea to take a break from EVERYTHING sometimes. It does the body good.
I think your body for sure gets used to the drug and after a while it is useless. Causing you to have to take time off. The reason behind it doesn't really matter. I am sure its the same reason 1 line of coke only gets you high a few times. Soon it takes a gram then and 1/8 and then your doing 10k a month in coke.
I read an excellent post on here somewhere that I cant find, it explains it basic and easy for you to understand, it was saying receptors are like carparks, when the cars occupy all of the parks its full, and the tow truck needs to start clearing them away to fit more in etc!! its a great read worth finding in the forums somewhere on here, not sure but I think maybe tread wrote it up
AnonYes but alot say that post is bogus
oh well if its bogus you will just have to find out for yourself then! why would you even need to ask this question if you are using aas correctly??????
its one of the stickys lol
I'm not sure "clearing receptors" is necessary, or even possible, but it is important to take a break in order to downregulate your levels of SHBG (sex hormone-binding globulin).
Receptor down-regulation due to use of androgens hasn't been proven by any scientific study.
IMHO diminishing results after long use of AAS is mostly caused by neural fatigue.
AnonYeah that's what I belive
Ok... Receptors to do not die from being on cruise... Receptors are part of the living cell. If receptors die from this, then running juice kills you're bodies' cells. Receptor saturation is a very real thing. When it occurs the body attempts a rebound thru binding of SHBG, aromatase, and 5a-reductase, etc. this is a homeostatic response. Simply becoming saturated does not kill off your receptors. In fact, receptor saturation occurs when hormone levels exceed the bodies' capacity to bind to and utilize the hormone. And "cruise" dose is only slightly above a TRT dose, typically. So, this isn't even realistic with cruising.
Creating receptors... They are part of the living cell, right? If running juice makes you more anabolic, would it make sense that the growth and addition of cells would equate to the addition of receptors?
AnonAlright alright easy there fella. Where all entitled to our opinions. There have been studies shown that it increases receptors
RustyhookerDoss just said receptors increase....
AnonOh lol
Just to clarify:
Gear increases the rate of hypertrophy. Hypertrophy increases the number of cells. Receptors are part of the living cell.
You confuse 2 different things: hypertrophy and hyperplasia.
1) Hypertrophy is increase in the volume of an muscle due to the enlargement of its cells. It should be distinguished from hyperplasia, in which the cells increase in number.
2) Receptor down-regulation due to use of androgens hasn't been proven by any scientific study.
you're right. bad choice of words on my part. hypertrophy and hyperplasia do, however, play a synergistic role in terms of protein synthesis. when tissue damage occurs due to strength training, for example, those tissue must be repaired. the repair process involves constructing of new actin and myosin proteins within the muscle fibers. these fibers are made up these proteins, which are in turn made up of numerous individual cells.
when the muscle becomes larger due to hypertrophy, on a cellular level, the number of actin and myosin have increased; thus increasing the number of cells making up these individual fibers. so, with the increase number of cells comes newly generated receptors.
although this is a true statement, there is also no direct evidence to prove otherwise. courtesy of our government regulations on these substances. so, that leaves us to look at the facts that we do have available to us, and use deductive reasoning along with trial and error. bro-science at its finest. lol
thanks for pointing out tho. +
Careful..He has a gun. And has killed receptors before.
I think taking time OFF is very important.
AnonI agree because it kind of gives u a taste of off and on. So when u get on u can feel the difference rather than always on and never getting the good and bad. But I'm not sure if I belive the theory about the receptors shutting down.
what i do is i would switch drugs every 2 months. ive heard that pro bodybuilders would switch drugs every month
AnonYeah so your theory is u do that so u never have time to get use/immune to the drug?
