Do you really need to eat at night?
I work out during lunch time. I am genetically pre-disposed to storing fat very easily so my diet has to be very strict. I have recently given thought to not eating past 6pm and going to bed no later than 10:30pm and instead loading up for breakfast (doubling calories for Meal 1).
Is this a bad idea? It is absolute torture for someone as gluttonous as me, but I find I wake up so much leaner and tend to drop fat much faster this way.
My aim is to drop from 15% body fat to 8-10% body fat during my current cycle.
I was thinking CASEIN protein shake before bed and if I really have to, have a couple boiled eggs or a can of tuna in brine (yawn). I want to eat my last meal at 5pm (e.g. steak and vegetables with minimal carbs).
Does anyone think this is a bad idea?

The only thing I find by eating zero carbs at the end of the day and prior to sleep is I have less energy... does this mean I am not eating enough for Meal 1? How long would Meal 1 need to digest and turn into energy for my lunch time workout?
I am looking leaner, but not lifting much more or feeling energetic? Not a huge problem... just would like to see if I can do it better.
I think the most important thing is to get your macros you need. Mainly protein. If you eat in a way that you believe in then you will push harder to make it work. Sure eating every 3 hours is the method most try to use but I would go with what works for you.
Try zero carbs after 2 or 3, have your steak and veggies at 5, then at 7:30ish have a salad with boiled egg whites. Then the casein shake with water before bed.
The intermittent fasting I agree may help you. Once every few weeks take in nothing but water for 24 hours.
Shit I have a big ass bowl of Trader Joes cereal, with Rice milk, works for me and I am cut like a mofo.
As rule of thumb I don't eat carbs 4 hours to bedtime regardless if I'm bulking. Cut carbs mid day and just eat protien. Casein before bed, protien wont hurt
