Workout split

ad

What's up guys,

Just wanted to get some feedback on my workout split I've been doing for the past 3 weeks, I have been working hard but kind of have a few days where I can't find anything else to do, or what muscle group to workout.
Here's the current split:

Monday: chest and tris
Tuesday: back and bi's
Wednesday: legs and run
Thursday: arms
Friday: shoulders
Saturday: off/ make-up day
Sunday: power lifting day

I know that was vague, but I just wanted to share what kind of split and if the experts can add a little advice and tweak it to keeping the days busy and really get the best of the time in the gym, I think I have a good spilt but want to do more!
Thanks guys and I appreciate every response!

Body type? Height, weight? years lifting?

If your making gains, weights are going up than whatever you have is perfectly good.

Personally I prefer either
1. Chest & Back
2. Off
3. Shoulder & Arms
4. Legs.
5. Off.
6. (repeat 1)
*Do one max effort lift per weekly cycle. (Bench, Squat or DL)

Or my favorite split:

  1. Chest & Arms (Heavy Chest)
  2. Legs
  3. Back + Shoulders
  4. Off
  5. Chest & Arms
  6. Legs (Heavy squats, or Alternate with day 7, if Day 7 Deadlifts take this day off))
  7. Back ( Heavy DL or if Heavy Squat day before, high volume high rep)
  8. Off
  9. Off? or Repeat 1 depending on feel.

I'd switch shoulders and arms so your arms have more time to recover from when you hit them Monday and Tuesday. Were all different, this may work for you but not for others. Just have to experiment. But I would def switch arms and shoulders.

What exaclty does your power lifting day consist of?

if it's all three lifts, and you do them all in one day, you should probably rework your program. The deadlift is one of the hardest lifts on your CNS, and it takes quite some time to recover from.
