Keep in mind if your talking about upper outer chest meaning upper chest and front deltoid. You may need to target your front deltoids in addition to adding size to your chest. A lot of guys lack aesthetics and think one muscle is lagging when it's the opposite. Sometimes to bring depth and detail to the upper outside chest some front deltoid separation and size is needed.

Was reading a study they used machines to see how much upper chest muscle fiber activation was increased on incline movements and it was like 5%. They also said reverse grip presses were better for upper pec. I like them on a smith press

I do pre exhaust most days but see if you can focus on what I call upper pec shelf which also includes some front delts. I'll add days in where I will include front laterals and squeeze pecs at top. Think I'm getting some upper pec size.

Hit incline first either dumbell or barbell here is my routine

Incline barbell 5 sets 8-12
Decline barbell 5 sets 8-12
incline dumbell flys 3 sets 8-12
machine flys 3 sets 8-12
Cable cross overs 4 sets 8-12

Ok so on each set you increase the weight and go to failure on the 4th set and the 5th set is a back off set with super slow tempo so 5th set you drop the weight 15-25% and use a tempo of 5/5 so 5 seconds on the way up and 5 seconds on the way down for 6-8 reps.

I am telling you nothing burns like this give it a try and let me know, its really hard the super slow reps on the 5th set after doing 4 heavy sets is brutal

I love to do push-ups with my feet on a bench/box above my shoulder height when fully extended, and using a medicine ball with both hands on the same ball. This, added to my normal routine, has given me the fullness I've always admired in other physiques.

My upper chest didn't starting growing untill I started pre exhausting with incline cable flies keeping a real strict V-form. Then fallow with your bench/DB

Keep it simple and hit chest twice a week

Pick two excercises and hit 5 reps 10 reps and 15 reps and do them twice a week

Make sure the final rep of the set is not failure...but failure would hit at the top range plus 1 or 2

In terms of movements

  • Incline 30 degree - pronated dumbell press - 4 second down and explode up

  • Seated vertical press - like the life fitness - load up and control the negative and do the rep ranges

Youll have a chest bigger then samantha fox in her prime [goo=gle is your friend]

That's funny u say that. BC, I'm getting ready to start a new 8 week routine. Hitting everybody part twice a week.
Thx...I like the slow negative explode up tip !
