Shoulder shocker
ad
I actually had this come up in my social media feed, I read it and was honestly very skeptical. To my surprise tho this is actual a very intense workout with an awesome pump. I think I am going to use it for a few weeks. It will be good to let my left shoulder heal a bit more as well.

Been doing this 2 weeks now. I like it.
No way does it replace my old shoulder routine, but it's a very nice finisher.
As a side note, if you're getting shoulder pain from over head presses, you're probably going too low. Stop the bar at a point even with your nose or mouth. Anything lower takes the weight from the muscle and puts it on the joint.
I wasn't having any problems pressing heavy when I started these. I do have a nagging left shoulder injury that hurts when pulling (Wide grip pulls in particular) But that has been getting better I was able to bang out three nice sets of regular narrow pull ups this week so that is good. I have been doing these shockers for three weeks now and I am still amazed at how intense the pump is.
This comment I just don't get:
I've had to dramatically change the way I train after the third shoulder surgery last year. I can still press, (although smith machines, behind the neck etc are most definitely out), but I don't do anything heavy anymore. I push a lot more reps through now at lower weight and I'd say my shoulders have responded better in some respects.
BUT, and it's huge but, you aren't building huge shoulders without heavy pressing. It worked out ok for me, I already had big shoulders. Isolation movements only do so much in terms of mass. The guys and girls with huge delts press or at least used to press heavy.
Definitely worth a try. I very rarely do any type of barbell overhead presses any more. I do some with DB which allow alot more freedom of movement. I cringe everytime I see someone doing a behind the neck press on the smith machine...good buy shoulders...
Thanks for sharing. Tomorrow is shoulder day. May give it a shot.
Nice read! Thanks!
