+ 3 Mods and reviews.
Here is the deal guys. Reviewing reviews sucks, no better way to put it. None of us enjoy reading your mostly poorly written reviews or flagging them for that matter. Maybe you have noticed the extra attitude we give with them? But regardless how wrong you might think we are about a review DO NOT neg a mod doing his job. I promise you it will not end well. Up until now I have taken 100 karma points for this, but the trick is I always had them set to reset back to what they originally were in 48 hours.
Then came Swonky, now it has forced me to write this post up and make it official. If one of us mods says something stupid in the forums or is plain wrong about something in the forums we are fair game for a neg just like anybody. But if we are in the course of doing our job as a mod I will not tolerate it. I trust all of you that are fairly intelligent will understand exactly what I am saying. This is a thankless gig for no pay, we don't need the extra bullshit over something as silly as a review.

I thought it would be funny to neg this forum topic but I didnt think it would go over well
LMAO!
Some reviews are poor plain and simple and deserve no chance to edit but my gawd these lazy mother F****** with their straight one and two word answers deserve a karma drop no warning imo. I never neg reviews, never have but they are popping up more and more.
On a positive note, it's great to see some sources dig in and put up warnings and info on reviews.
OK.............. Here comes VIKE.................. Boooooooooooooooooooooom..............
TurtleMansToothGood to see you back bro
You look much better with that hammer ;)
man I missed that
There goes the neighborhood... Again.
Moljnir is back in effect! Welcome back brother!
How we've missed the "Boooooooooom"!
What if we change the rules to allow only 4 reviews per year?
Not that everyone likes to post pics but we are in the age of smart phones now. maybe each review for a sources gear needs to be accompanied by a corresponding gear pic. Then remove the karma system altogether from gear pics. Then highly recommend that gear that is to be reviewed from a source should be posted in pics within a week of landing. That way when it's reviewed it can be determined if the gear has been used long enough to give a valuable review. Because 6 weeks of EQ isn't giving anyone a good read on the quality. Something along that. People piece together their cycles from so many sources but if it can be validated that it came and was used in a given timeline it may help more.
Just like facebook and other media stuff LE monitors this site. If they are able to figure out who a person is it is never a good idea to announce a pack is in route or has landed. Sure i understand that people do it all day long on here, eroids itself can not save people from themselves, but it will not openly put people at jeopardy by its rules system.
Good point. It becomes too easy to forget about LE behind a computer monitor & the internet.
Well maybe now that Viking is back after he gets settled in we can start working at the karma revamp that was started. He is a very important part of it.
After I finish my current cycle, I'll be putting up at least 4 reviews, probably more if I add another oral finisher. I do more than 1 cycle a year so capping the reviews will prevent me anyways from putting up additional reviews that would benefit the community.
See how much more valuable a review just got? Simple supply and demand economics.
With the restriction you'd have to consider what was the most review worthy and review that. You want to use your entire quota? Or only one or two? Choice would be yours.
That said, I can see where 6 or 8 reviews might be more realistic.
I'll live with whatever you guys decide to do.
Sources will have a shit fit on that since most of their business depends on reviews here otherwise they would not be offering 1 free bottle of prop or 10 free schwagbol I mean Dbols. Promo items that are freebies should be taken off the reviews and that will crush a lot more fakes then limiting the reviews. Taking karma away from gear pics is another great way to curb some shit as well. So many ways so little time.
Kinda like the idea but let me but let me say this it's not uncommon for guys two use multiple labs for a single cycle.just myself last cycle used a couple different labs. Got test and provi from lab a and lab b got mast and some prop for a kicker. Let's say a guy uses three different labs for a single cycle then basically there done been able to give a review for the whole year.
I'd have to say the same. My competition prep cycle involves three different sources. The bulker I'm just finishing two sources.
I like the idea in principle though. Just not sure how you can make it work.
We can even bump it to six and would still cover the vast majority and the others could just pick which sources they really need to review.
I'd think eight would be the sweet spot. Especially for trt guys. Say they run three cycles a year two different labs each time and that still leaves them been able to review the times there running trt.if a guys running hgh peptides multiple labs it could easily be a three or four lab cycle at a time. Love the idea to limit it that would make the mods life easier
Think it would certainly curtail some of the BS that takes up your time and distorts the review scores. You'll never be able to make a rule that works for everyone, but if it's a 90% fit, that's an improvement.
Would also have an effect on some of the "quick write a review so I can get in on that promo" nonsense.
I'm sure you guys can make this workable.
Even if BFG cannot make it so that people are truly limited to eight it could be a written rule that if we happen to catch someone violating we would take action. It is definitely an idea of merit and worthy of further discussion. Greg may not say much but when he does it is usually pretty brilliant.
well fuck there goes my 18 reviews this month
Better get your fix in before they change it bet u can at least get 30 in lol
Truthfully that would make good sense. How much gear can a man realistically use per year?
What about limiting the amount of pictures posted in a certain amount of time, like 30 days or something. I think there are plenty of people who order that will show the source is coming through. Seeing resellers orders gets old.
I know this isn't concerning reviews, but you mentioned rule change.
I'm for that as well. And/or not allowing any Karma for posting pics
Anonx2, self pics and bloodwork should be allowed karma. It actually requires effort for that stuff. Gear pics should be treated the same as the off topic forum, no karma at all.
My opinion is self pics deserve karma. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there like that. There aren't as many self pic karma whores as there once were.
I like it but I think that would be a tech issue, not my forte'...
You just can't fix stupid. Unfortunately, there are far too many here that fit perfectly in to that category.
Keep up the good fight and the rest of us will do our best to help keep eroids the great place it is.
TronBeing a mod is equivalent of being a parent to a bunch of knuckle head kids..
Problem is 99% of the people who leave these terrible reviews are not gonna even see this post, so the bullshit continues. Once in a while you get a higher level member leaving a poorly written review but most the time it's some noob who just made an account and is siked he actually got something jn the mail. Most likely not signing in again for months until he gets another order and leaves another shitty review and doesn't even know the first one was flagged. And the cycle continues.
Uphill battle bro, you keep an eye on reviews SI's go to shit, you watch SI's, the board goes to shit... Thern there is keeping up with spam... Rules are clearly written, review standards are clearly written, fuck 'em if they can't follow simple directions, there is too much to do... Give it a year and the whole "asking them nicely and reasoning with them" thing really seems ridiculous... I initiated karma reduction last year as an alternative to banning... and they bitch about that too... maintaining order on a site of 1000's of juiced up alphas is no easy task...

Overall I think us members do a pretty good job watching to forums for any bullshit or dangerous info. Sucks we can't sensor the spam posts so we could realty make the mods job easier and let them focus solely on making sure the sources stay in line. It's honestly the Sis is where the worst advise is given.
I personally ban about 30 spam accounts a day. Every single time I log in there is at least 3 in the heartbeat. The SI's I watch a few at any given time but there are really just too many to keep any kind of serious watch on them all. Then there is the blood and guts investigations that we have going on at any given time. That is where the help of the members comes in to play. You guys have to keep us in the loop and you guys that do I offer my sincere thanks.
Karma, I recently ripped 250 from myself that I figured I had gained from pics.It don't mean much to me but I do find that seems to be the best way to grab attention. It won't work but maybe half the time tho.
Just a small suggestion boss, if any kind of hormone is being reviewed it should go together with a blood test document to get any karma points, no blood test no chance for the reviewer to get any karma, just an idea to make reviews more trustful, this is what eroids is all about REVIEWS isn't it?.
AnonThat might work to post a review about testosterone products, and maybe a couple other compounds (proviron and increased free test, etc.) but it would be more difficult to show through blood tests that masteron or NPP products are legit. Just using those as an example, I see what you are saying and for the most part I agree but the system would still be flawed.
I honestly think that even before being allowed to join this site you must read the rules and certain stickies about how this site should operate. I know some people might still blow through it but I think some people might actually take the time to read it if they are serious. People are always going to find ways to lie, cheat and circumvent the system, only so much the mods can do.
Yes I agree with you 100%, I was going to add some more ideas last night but it was too late and I couldn't, for those compounds that can't not be measured a couple of pre and post cycle pics would help, and still it would be some bs to cover but at least it would be easier to spot the fake ones and reward the real ones.
AnonI'm with ya man, the more detailed someone can be the better. Even if someone would be required to provide some proof of purchase or have the source verify it was a legit order would be good. That would probably be a pain in the ass to verify every single order of every single review though. Still something to consider I suppose...
X2 it would never be perfect, but we can do it better.
Yup that's solid bloods with the reviews great idea but the issue is people writting reviews for their personal friends which is putting a lot of people on the spot light as of lately but these high Karma guys should know better than to do that. It questions the site credibility to leave honest reviews
Ya I seen the other forum your doin a great job imo and u are right it's a thankless job. Keep up the good work
U get the eroids van bro come one
