Leg day = cold symptoms?
As we all know leg days separate the men from the boys and i always try to leave my ego at the door and train my legs till i cant walk. Due to genetics i have to train them harder than some people because i have some very good strength but adding mass to my legs is like trying to force veggies down a childs throat. On days when i can tell i have had a good leg workout by the time i crawl into bed i am achy and my joints are stiff, throat gets swollen and raw, as if i have a cold or weakened immune system and usually for a day or two after (especially when i max out) my immune system just crashes and i feel like shat! Since legs and lower back are literally half your body or more i know most rest days are after a hard leg day as it is taxing on the body thus a good diet is essential on this day most of all. Is this feeling due to something im doing wrong with training or is it my post workout diet that is lacking? Anyone else ever feel this way? Any help would be great because i love leg day and i finally have a routine that has my legs constantly growing (in size as well as strength) but the sickness thing is getting on my nerves.

Thats a good thing! Keep working them legs hard and your body will overcome it. I always hated legs too then when I cycled my quads blew up and I have so much more strength now I love working out legs
what about vitamin c before and right after your workout....it sounds like you work your legs so hard you probably damage a bunch of cells that are beyond repair. you feeling like you have a cold could just be your bodies response for clearing all of the damaged/dead cells. the vitamin c can help limit this oxidative stress
ive certainly thought about that and am gna try doing that now. I wasnt sure if i was the only one in this boat. When im on cycle i obviously feel not as worn down after legs but this happened on leg day even before aas back when i was training in college. but back then i didnt have you guys to ask advice from
yea i dont get the cold feeling but more of a run down nauseous feeling, iv always gotten it after a hard workout but just somewhat recently read about vitamin c...starting taking a pill about 45 mins before workout then drinking emergen-c with some bcaa's during workout and it seems to have helped
