Ideas for training/dieting posts
I figured it might be a good idea to see what everyone wants for training or dieting articles. I still have a couple of ideas floating around in my head for some more articles but I think it would be worthwhile to see what people want to know regarding training/diet instead of me just pumping out a bunch of random stuff that I am thinking about. I am not saying that I will write something that someone is requesting because I may not know a hill of beans about it, but if someone sees a request and they know alot about it I think it would be a good opportunity for them to share their knowledge about it. I know that talking about training and dieting is not as glamorous as talking about AAS and cycling, but it is in my opinion the most important piece of the whole equation. Drugs aren't going to make up for a shitty diet or poor gym habits. So if anyone has any ideas on what they would like to see regarding training/diet, fire away and hopefully someone will know about it and can make a post.

I work nights 8pm to 8am and would like some input on diet recommendations. What I would like to know if it's a good idea to eat the same way I would if I worked during the day.
As long as you meet your macros I don't think it matters.
I'm with you. I'm working on something now that focuses more on some supplements I have my other thread. Thing is not many people hit this section of the board. If it's not in General, Off topic, Anabolics, or Cycles it rarely gets seen, and there are some great posts just sitting there. You're putting out some great posts though.
You're right diet and training isn't as glamorous as talkin about gear but it's the reason were gonna reach our goals. So with that said I would like to see some posts on people who were not born with calves and build a decent pair. Although it seems impossible. And also people who weren't born with chest genetics and managed to build one, which once again seems to be impossible as ones chest always lags behind if it's a problem area. I'm working on both or those areas hard the next 8 weeks so I'll post up my results and routine and shit IF it's even worth while. I hope to overcome the high calf insertions god gave me and the stubborn chest.
Funny you mention genetics. I did have something in mind talking about genetics so I will definitely keep that on my list.
For chest, when you flat bench try sticking a 25lb plate or 2 under the front of the bench to create a slight decline. It takes all the stress off the rotator cuffs and puts it all on the pecs.
Jumping rigjt into presses never did anything to me. I've found over the last 6 months or so the key to me growing my chest and it's still a painfully slow rate Is pre exhausting it with a bunch of cable flys first. My problem is I have long arms, so when I jump right into presses my triceps give out before my chest burns out. So by smashing them with like 5-7 sets of cable flys that totally isolate the chest when I move on to my presses my chest burns out before my arms. It's helped tremendously, but my chest is still just a stubborn weak point but it's slowly coming in.
Do you begin your workouts with calves? I feel this is a must if you want to bring them up. I also think they should be hit 4 times a week.
I do 5 sets of 20-30 seated one workout and 5 sets 6-20 reps of standing the next.
Ya I would always start with calves. For the longest time I would do like you said. I would hit em 3 times a week 1 workout standing the next seated the next leg press then a few weeks later switch to a differnt rep range etc. it helped a little but not much. Im finally seeing growth and I can't take credit for this method my coach gave it to me but once a week I go to the seated calf machine put 1 45lb plate on it and do 10 sets to failure.my form is perfect nice slow controlled reps squeezing at the top and stretching at the bottom and it's an incredibly pailful workout man. But I've seen a good amount of growh doijg this so I'm gonna stick with it for a while.
I think I saw you mention this calf workout somewhere so I have tried it a couple of times now. Calves are defiinitely sore the next day. I will crank out as many reps as I can each set and then dig deep and do 5 more reps. Sometimes it is barely moviing those last few reps but the tension is still on the muscle. I'll time my rest periods between sets at 30 seconds. Talk about a burn! If you can stand up and walk after doing this you didn't work hard enough.
I'll write up a calve workout , not soo much a workout but the way I do em as the rep ranges and weight ranges don't mean fuck from one person to another , its the way you do them.
Cool
I could use some help. I would like to compete in Physique in May or June. I am currently 120kg and 15% bodyfat. I just started my cycle and new training routine on Sat. I am currently going very low carbs to get a jump on body fat loss. I had planned on 3 weeks, then switching to a diet of 400g protein, moderate carbs, low fat. I would like to come in at 6-7%
Less protein higher fat low carbs
Probably could do 100g less of protein
But this is also with only having 1 shake after training days. Eating that much protein is hard. Higher fats to help keep you full and get your body use to using fats vs carbs. Low carbs quinua oatmeal fruit. Man I miss carbs lol
Just my opinion
