+ 1 Meal Services and tips

ad

Hey bros, can I get your tips and experiences with meal services? Something along the line of recurring meal delivery, with a box of 24-48 meals.

I'd like to ask for your meal service source recommendations too. (Will delete this line if its against the rules, sorry admins)

Time is a greater cost than money at the moment, I know stuff like this is pricey. Those once or twice a weak meal-prep sessions often get missed, causing my food intake to always get fubar'd by fast-food. Willing to invest in pay-2-win for food. Several services are out there floating around, but not seeing much topics on this concept in forum.

I've considered just buying a bunch of the microwavable meals at the super market in bulk, but I imagine some of you may have better advise.

I found a 'work around' at the local kroger. Of which I'm sure will work for any supermarket.

Seems the big box stores have somewhat caught onto the healthy pre-prepped meals by the services. Having several fresh, non frozen foods rdy to go. At $7-$8 a pop, it was a swift discount compared to the advertised services at $10-$12 a meal. Taste on my first last night was good!

So I created my own meal delivery service using these meals, with the covid inspired groceries to your door services the big box stores offer.

The meals were healthy 'enough'. But for a guy who is not disciplined on when and how often to eat: this will work great for now as I train my food intake to be more on point with my gym attendance. Will revisit the meal delivery services as macronutrients become even more important.

I'll post a few of the meals nutrient details later to review these meal's health factor.

I know alot of times the fitness trainers at ur local gym know of local companies that do meal prep. I do my own prep, but I get hit up in the gym circles pretty often.

Thanks Lindsay! Eroids is a fantastic source for much knowledge. Working on longer term goals to be ready for AAS. Gym attendance is dialed in, but not food. Will set a benchmark for clean eating for a year, and consider goals for next steps.

I have used trifecta meals it’s not cheap but I didn’t think it was way out of line but I’m not thrifty when it comes to food you can buy just your proteins that’s what I did cause rice and veggies etc doesn’t take long

I have used Icon meals but its not cheap but some of there meals are delicious and healthy. You can customize your own with a variety of choices of meats, vegetables and other sides. The chicken is not very good but some of the other meats are tasty. Their own designed pre made special meals are pretty good. IT is hit or miss with taste with these guys. Plus not cheap

Thanks for the notes, Keith. I had actually wrote this post with Icon in mind. Their yelp reviews caused me to hesitate pulling the trigger.

The reviews for all the meal prep companies are always a mixed bag. I have tasted a trifecta and a couple other ones my buddies order from but icon seems like the highest quality. Again its hit or miss tho and their plain chicken is not good. I'd rather just buy a pre cookled whole chicken from Costco for 5 bucks and just eat the beast with no skin for a couple of meals. Way better tasting.

With trifecta I thought their chicken was the best and I’m not a chicken fan
