Meal Prep and Pressure Cooker
ad
Small tip I stumbled on. I'm still getting over the meal intake problem. My appetite has finally swung my way, so food has been getting easier. The problem is getting it cooked and fed. Meal prep takes forever, and sometimes can't quite scrap together the time.
We bought a $40ish dolla pressure cooker from walmart the other night. Now we are cooking completely frozen chicken breasts/fish in about 10 minutes.
No need to thaw man. Comes out tasting great. We throw in an extra cup or two of veggies also with the meat to cook. Seasonings go directly on the frozen food.

My girlfriend recently bought me one too. I haven't attempted meat more than once because it didn't come out the greatest and reheating it only made the consistency and flavor worse.
Do you have any strategies to know exactly how long to cook it? What liquids have you been using?
I dug up a link for the exact brand mine is. My cooker is probably the exact same, just 1 gen behind this one. Same size. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Aroma-Turbo-Rice-Digital-Pressure-Cooker/48931064
Come to discover I bought a rice cooker + Pressure Cooker + Crock Pot all in one type gizmo.
Anyway, we put 2 large breasts as max into it. Couple cups of veggies.
If there is not a lot of liquid in there, I'll also toss some chicken broth into it that we keep in the fridge.
Occasionally I'll toss in a can of rotel, and skip the broth entirely.
I work close to home. So at lunch, I'll throw 2 chicken breasts, can of rotel, green beans, and 2 cups of broc into it. Splash a some broth (I like my stuff extra juicy). Set the pressure setting to level 3, and cook for 10 minutes. It really takes closer to 15 minutes because for 5 minutes, its just building up pressure.
Eat 1 breast, and veggies. Leave it on warm for the rest of the day. Eat the rest after I get home.
