Cornbread for bulking?

ad

Cornbread is one of my favorite foods, however is this a good source of carbs, or at least use for bulking phases..any experiences?

Cornbread has a super high glycemic index 110) and glycemic load (30). Eating it is going to cause wild spikes in insulin. Eat it sparingly and never with fat containing foods unless you want that fat to get shuttled right onto your belly. If you like cornbread, the best time would be to eat it post workout when you can take advantage of that insulin spike.

Edit: If you are a "hardgainer" eat cornbread like it is your last meal, otherwise heed the advice given above.

94 cals per oz, 2.7 grams of fat. Do it. Bulk with cornbread and some bbq chicken boom
