+ 2 Pre cycle bloodwork.

ad

O.k I thought I was all geared up and ready to go. But I came upon a problem. I want to get bloods done but am wondering if a general well being blood test will suffice. It's been 6 months since I've had a normal check up. Last check up I was told my liver was getting a little fatty, something like that. Never done a cycle, this is my first. Will only be taking test for 12 weeks. This is what will be checked:

Includes:
Complete Blood Count (CBC) with Differential: (Hematocrit; hemoglobin; mean corpuscular volume (MCV); mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH); mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC); red cell distribution width (RDW); percentage and absolute differential counts; platelet count; red cell count; white blood cell count; immature granulocytes)
Lipid Profile: Cholesterol, total; high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol; low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol (calculation); triglycerides; very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) cholesterol (calculation).
Comprehensive Metabolic Profile (CMP) (includes eGFR): (A:G ratio; albumin, serum; alkaline phosphatase, serum; ALT (SGPT); AST (SGOT); bilirubin, total; BUN; BUN:creatinine ratio; calcium, serum; carbon dioxide, total; chloride, serum; creatinine, serum; globulin, total; glucose, serum; potassium, serum; protein, total, serum; sodium, serum.)
- Liver Function test (included within the CMP)
- Kidney Function test (included within the CMP)
- Serum Electrolytes (included within the CMP)
Serum Iron
Urinalysis, Complete Profile: Color; appearance; specific gravity; pH; protein; glucose; occult blood; ketones; leukocyte esterase; nitrite; bilirubin; urobilinogen; microscopic examination of urine sediment.
Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA), .

I know bloods are important part of the cycle.

What country are you in?

The bloodwork above is great, but lacking some hormone info.

U.S.

My fav is labsmd.com

The female hormone panel covers most things.
You can get other stuff checked too

And I gave you +2 for being smart about bloods.

Correct me if I'm wrong, maybe I'm blind but I don't see anything related to estro, cortisol, testosterone, free and calculated testosterone, SHBG and FSH on that test. The test you stated seems more like a health and wellness test rather than a hormone profile test.

That was my question. How much blood work do I need? So this basic well being test along with a test, free test and estradiol, FSH work?

If you're in the US then use a company similar to this https://www.privatemdlabs.com or in the U.K. I use Medichecks.

You don't need multiple tests... there should be a test that covers all the requirements for a "health" profile and a hormone panel for example with Medichecks I do the Sports Hormone UltraVit. You may find that a female test which is exactly the same as a male test costs less. Check those sites out and see which one covers everything you need

Thanks for the help bro, really appreciate it.

Once heard..."if you're getting your oil changed & car checked more often than you're getting bloods = you're doing something wrong."

Always smart to have your fluids checked.
