It depends. If you are seriously trying to cut, then no..I wouldnt drink at all. If youre just "getting in shape" or bulking, then I think once every 2 weeks or so would be ok...especially since youre still in your teens. When I was that age, I could get trashed and still get up the next day and do cardio. What you do while youre drinking matters too. If you just drink, thats one thing....but if you drink AND THEN hit the 24 hour diner for a heaping plate of garbage food at 3 am, then that's a lot worse. Im in my 30s, and If I go out drinking then Im completely useless the next day, and still not 100% the day after that, so there really has to be a pretty strong chance of vaginal interaction to get me to leave the house.
binary, why is it everyone here is trying to discourage this young man from drinking and you are telling him its OK to get trashed at his age every couple weeks as long as he's not cutting? I don't get it!
Sure, Why not.. Heres my strategy for going out and has not effected my gains/bf/strength(besides liver i guess, last blood check that was 100% though)
- Drink as close to the event, make sure you have a good protein/carb meal 1-2 hrs before hand
- Keep it hard liquor though and if you mix go with sugar free coke/energy drinks etc
- When you're done for the night, go home and pound the fuck out of the water in your tap.. Dont stop for a good 10 minutes
- Have a healthy meal cooked ready for you when you get home, so you dont destroy every fat/sugar loaded piece of food in your site
- Take a multivitamin/gatorade before bed
- Sleep, Get your ass to the gym next morning..
Don't recommend it, but dont advise against it either..
Alchohol should be like Kryptonite for a dedicated bodybuilder.
Its counter productive, it wont help you reach your goals, it can only hurt you. Alcohol IS LITRRALLY POISON!!! Bad for your liver, hard on your kidneys too cause it dehydrates you. I quit drinking a year ago, the hardest thing I ever had to do was go through 5wks of Mardi Gras (just ended tuesday) without having even one drink. Thats the only time I miss the crap really.
Congratulations! I quit 1 year ago last Sunday.
I don't drink at all bro. It's counter productive to what i'm trying to accomplish! The days of needing a drink to have fun are long behind me. 17, you're not supposed to drink anyway, lol. Drink a protein shake
I quit drinking when on cycle,i keep spilling my beer when i keep turning to pin my ass:)
I hope you are only researching and not planning on using at your age bud,if you fuck with your natty test now prepare for a world of pain has you get older!!!!
Just looking out for you bud
Oh hell yeah thanks man, I'm going to be doing tons of research and planning, the amount of shite I've read already about peeps my age was crazy..

Those are all good reasons.
Didn't you say you were 17? You shouldn't be doing either yet. Sorry, that's the dad in me, I have 2 sons 20 and 15! Alchohol also affects natural testosterone production. Bloat from dehydration, that always confused me! You may also want to consider lowered inhibition(alcohol) and raised aggression(steroids) thats a recipe for Handcuffs!
Don't Worry, I only wanted to know why people always say this Thanks! I never drank beer in my life...well..once at a party but that was it and don't worry, I aint touching anything until I'm older and have had good experience in natural bodybuilding and know the whole roids thing.
Double post sorry
Not to mention the amount of sugars found in alcohol.
Empty calories, dehydration, fucks up the eating cycles, liver stress/strain, supposed connection with estrogen, etc.
Lots of reasons not to do it, especially while on cycle.
That being said, I had several drinks last night for a special occasion. Prior to that I can count the number of drinks I've had over the last 3 months on 1 hand.
Alcohol is also catabolic
No1You can have a beer or 2, just not heavy drinking. its because drinking is hard on the liver and so is steroids
