Got into a discussion with a guy today about whether or not Testosterone E for injections can be absorbed thru the skin if you just put it on your skin, not inject it. Didn’t really know the answer so thought some of you knowledgeable guys might know.

You need some sort of transdermal delivery system present to get it past the skin. Skin is a barrier, and effective one at that, so you need something to break that barrier if you ever want to get whatever compound it is into the bloodstream. Now there are a shit ton of other chemicals that can be added to something like DMSO to make it an even more effective transdermal delivery system. That is why you have all these different formulas for things like Androgel and Axiron all claiming to be a superior delivery system over the other. Just putting something on your skin isn't going to have it magically pass through the skin and into the bloodstream. It may moisturize the outer layers of skin but never actually go all the way through the skin and into the bloodstream.
I told him what you said and he goes “well if you had a small cut or even the hole from where you pinned our test and you rubbed test e on it, it would go into the layer under the skin and be absorbed” I didn’t know about this because technically a cut and even where you pin is a hole under the skin lol.

RustyhookerNo. Not by itself. Some folks used DMSO so that it will absorb but the amounts differed due to many factors. The absorbed oil was not consistant and found to be useless in both trt and bodybuilding.
Factors.... absorbing into the cloth cover/bandaid....different vascularities by skin area....hairy spots keeping cover off the skin...etc etc etc
Fluctuations in hormone were very erratic. Moreso than the trt patches, which have their own issues as well.
Folks used to try the DMSO method for all the various oils and tabs.
