Back acne and high BP with Test E

ad

Ran a cycle of Test E 500mg each week.
Took aromasin 6.25eod from week 4-16.
Ran my pct of nolva and clomid.

I've never had high blood pressure in my life. During my cycle my Bp went to 140/90 and stayed around that until a month after I was off the cycle. It is back to normal now.

I also still have bad back acne from the cycle and it has been almost 3 months since my cycle, and I've never had back ance in my life. Any advice on how to correct these two things before I decide to run another Test e cycle?

As said below, you BP is not "high enough" to raise a red flag.

3 months is a long time post cycle for acne to persist. There are so many approaches to dealing with this but here are a few to consider:

Benzamycin gel (benzoyl peroxide / erythromycin) - the peroxide oxidizes bacteria and the erythromycin also kills the bacteria in the acne boils directly like any antibiotic acts on bacteria. You may be able to get this OTC but if you need a script it is worth the cost of a doctors visit.

Retin-A (believe it or not) - Retin - A reduces the size of the sebaceous glands and lowers sebum secretion. If you use this stay out of the sun - no tanning.

Plain old systemic (non-topical) antibiotics often work to kill acne as well but this will necessitate a trip to the doctor and they take time to work. You can also get topical antibiotics as well. Some antibiotics are way better than others on acne, make sure you're doctor just doesn't prescribe a broad spectrum antibiotic - that may not be helpful.

Accutane (last resort) - Please do some research on this it comes with a boatload of sides (potentially) so its a last resort other than having a dermatologist ablate the zits one by one.

I'm about to give Retin-A a shot myself, personally I'm scared of accutane.

You should be frightened of acutane.
I like Ziana. It's a mix of retin-a and clindamyacin. Works great.

Champion Of The Mind's picture

Would you suggested that over just retin-a by itself?

vhman's picture

It's prescription, but it's great. If you can only get retin-a then that's okay, but this has an antibiotic with it, so it attacks it two ways. It also doesn't dry my skin too much.

I've been tanning twice a week and I notice improvement, so I'm sure the application of retin-a would do me wonders dude. I'll look into a little more though, thank you.

Retin-a and tanning doesn't mix. Tanning is great for acne (in moderation). Just don't tan with retin-a on. Apply it afterwards.

thank you for saving my skin dude. I really appreciate this info vhman.

Just be patient with it and don't go overboard on anything and you'll see results. Moderation in all things brother.

Thanks bro. I didn't know if u would catch this. He puts on enough Retin-a on his back and hits those lamps as his skin gets exfoliated and depending on how much of what - at best he'll be reaching for a bottle of aloe vera that he'll keep in the freezer to knock down the discomfort - at worst he can peel enough skin to start an infection.

140/90 isnt anything to sweat over - yes its considered high by doctors -but roids will increase your blood pressure because your blood thickens - try "low dose aspirin" 1 a day or eod these are not the normal aspirin in the yellow bottle they are 81mg ea. then see how that works for next cycle . acne we all get usually on your back yes sometimes right under your left eye -dammit - showering is key ,wash face often with hot water to clear the oil still at any one time on cycle ill have about 5 roid sized zits on my back comes with the territory .

Get some Acne Annihilator topical wash. The stuff works amazingly well...we have
used it very regular the last few years.

Ok so BP is down but acne is still there.. This takes time after pct for it to go away.. This is pretty common.. If you want to speed up the process.. avoid dairy and lots of sugar.. get a tanning membership.. If you have access to a pool go swimming.. The beach is an even better option... scrub Epsom salts on your back to exfoliate.. All of that should help dry your acne up

and you want to run tren e?? you are obviously prone too sides mate, there are natural supplements you can use to control blood pressure, hawthorne berry extract is a good one! start taking it daily now for at least a month before any cycle, take it daily through out and run it for a month after, with your acne, hit vitamin e in high doses daily and if you can swim in the ocean do that daily also, if you cant- go buy a heap of sea salt- put a good amount into a hot bath and do that daily, also nizoral shampoo works for some,if you have back acne still now I would go get bloods done, maybe hormonal problem.
you should hold off from cycling for a while any way, im assuming you haven't been off for long enough.

Yes I did bloods before the cycle, 5 weeks into it and after the cycle. Everything was looking good and returned to normal. My estrogen stayed in check.
