Anyone cycling with minimal at home weights?
ad
The gyms are not anywhere near opening but plenty of peeps who live in small spaces like apartments have now gotten a simple benche and sets of dumbbells for home workouts.
My question is has anyone been on cycle with just that as the only equipment for use? Or have you just ended your cycle and are waiting for gyms to open again?
People who have houses and can buy real benches/racks/etc are exempt cuz they can obviously continue but what about those of us that dont have that access?

I had a powertec bench (the only you load with free weights) and had it in the garden. Then we had storms and I somehow convinced my wife that it needs to be in the main room (wouldn’t fit anywhere else). What I would say is you can still train hard regardless, whether loading dumbbells with 20kg weights or doing shoulders by standing on your head and pushing up. One handed press ups, dips between chairs. If you have to you’ll be doing rows from a pull up bar, whatever it takes. Think strong and think positive.
Having 2 little uns 5 and 4 is my cardio lol, managed to get some dip bars before lock down and some dbells. For me weights were not the issue, motivation was the challenge being in a different environment.
The fact of keeping ur shit together, trying not to scream as you curl stood on multiple lego lol.
Pull ups with different grips will build your back as good or better than any machine.
Lighter dumbbells np. Superset flies and immediately do presses. Works fine on a floor.
Shoulders triset side laterals, front laterals and OHP in that order.
Arms are easier.
Work everything in reverse to pre exhaust the muscle. 30 seconds between sets.
I guarantee growth
Btw this is how Lee Haney always trained.
sweet. i'll try this out. I actually have a bench for this stuff, just no barbell or rack.
Goodluck
UUUuuuuffff Am I hearing excuses??!! I live in an apartment on the 3rd floor up - In my spare bedroom I have a heavy duty power rack, competition flat bench, dip station & 12 45's etc.
The only thing you can't do is drop the deadlift or bounce it if repping, but other than that you can be pretty quiet if you want to be.
Molinin302I have, but enough plates to make the dumbells 100lbs each. Depends what your style and goals are. I wouldnt be cleaning 700lbs on thev2nd floor of an apartment and dropping it. You may wind up downstairs with your neighbor lol
Lol.., as long as you made the lift thats all that counts.
True
Molinin302Lmao! Damn bro, thats savage. Im picturing plates everywhere, sheetrock and dust. Maybe you actually land on the couch next to the guys wife.. damn dogs barking and running in circles...
Yeah you black out for a minute and wake up downstairs with them looking at you. And the first word you say is "did I make the lift,"...,haha
