Hey! Wanted to share a meal prep idea that’s been working really well for me. My girl makes a batch of these cottage cheese muffins using a few packs of cottage cheese, and it lasts us a couple of days. Super convenient, sometimes I use them as a full breakfast, other times I grab a portion pre-workout.

Macros per 100g are around 13g protein, 6.2g fat, and 24g carbs.

Recipe is simple. Just blend 310g of 5% cottage cheese, 70g of 10% sour cream, 2 eggs, 80g sugar, some vanillin, 50g semolina, and a bit of baking powder. If it’s too thick, add a splash of milk. Let it sit 5-10 mins, pour into muffin molds or a baking dish, and bake at 320°F for 20-30 mins. You can throw in some protein powder if you want, but I find it messes with the taste a bit. I usually eat about 250g pre-workout, that’s around 510 cals, 33p, 16f, 60c.

If I’m craving something sweeter, topping it with honey and fruit makes it perfect.

Sounds amazing and satisfying. Thanks for the tip.

Protein ice cream with my ninja creami
Cottage cheese, Fairlife, protein powder, swerve, vanilla paste, guar gum.

Have a pint every night when I’m cutting. It’s like 400 calories and 50g protein. Tastes like legit vanilla ice cream and has the same texture. Takes 2 spins on the ice cream setting then it’s good to go. Can omit the protein powder to shave off 90 cals and drop it to 30 ish grams protein. That’s what I do for my wife since she doesn’t really like the taste of protein powders.

If y’all have never played with a ninja creami and have a sweet tooth I suggest you look in to it. Lots of healthy ice cream or sorbet recipes out there.

Maybe if you added almond butter or almonds on the side for fats before bed

You can do anything with it. I’ve done one with chocolate Fairlife and cottage cheese. Then after I spun it up into ice cream i swirled in almond butter and some mini marshmallows. It has a “mix ins” setting so it swirls stuff in without just blending it in. Can add anything you want to it.
I just always keep it under 500 cals with the mix ins or whatever changes I’ve made. I’ve done an exact copy cat of rocky road too. Under 500 cals ~30ish grams protein all for a pint.

Would love to see more people chiming in on here. I'm more interested in seeing diet hacks, meal prep ideas and such than always the latest cycle information. Food is the primary source for growth and yet so many people are more focused on the gear they're running than they are what foods they are going to eat and what the macros even are. Food has been the biggest challenge in my BB journey thus far, and just trying to stick with it when I am eating properly and well balanced.

Steroids never make up for a shitty diet

The whole truth, nothing but the truth. I have a guy, a friend of mine that has incredible genetics. Probably hovers between 8-10% year round. Nice V-taper and awesome structure, just can't eat enough to get past around the 180lb mark. I've told him time and time again that no matter how much gear he takes, he's not gonna grow without more food.

Chicken, rice, broccoli and avocado. I dice it all up and mix it all together and the avocado gives it all a nice flavor

Bro my latest because cals are so low is bone broth and chicken breast. Throw in celery or greens if you want.

The broth keeps the chicken moist for reheating, 8 oz chicken breast and 8 oz broth macros are:
60 protein
3.25 fat
0 carbohydrates

I’m doing this about 5 times a day right now.

I would add aparagus as greens for this one
And everyother meal change it for 99 ground turkey cause that sure as HELL NEEDS that bone broth

I wanted to keep greens as well but he pulled them for their GI weight. Less fiber in the GI lower bodyweight on the scale. Definitely not healthy or sustainable but it made sense.

Let me know how long you lasted on that broth and chicken breast diet 5 times a day. Not being funny but I think I'd be sick of it by day 2 or 3 at most but am seriously interested on how it went for you.

Bearded_muscle's picture

We did it for the last month it was the only way I could make weight for my class. Honestly had a better look ten pounds heavier (before that last push) but it did the trick and I came in right where I needed to be.

Ah, for contest prep I understand. I'd imagine you do what you have to do and just get on with it. Almost treat it like having to take medicine lol. I can do keto and drop a lot of bodyfat quickly. As I don't compete I mix things around and get a great variety of foods in.

Glad it worked for you and you hit your target.

Damn homie zero carbs that’s hardcore, finding meals without carbs is so hard for me. Like I love my carbs with meals, especially a nice dinner with potatoes and dinner rolls or biscuits, I’d have hard time not even having rice or any carb but at least the broth is keeping it moist
